Commercial Description:
Sun Devil Ale is of the new breed of West Coast American Ales. Using fresh Cascade and Centennial hops grown in the Pacific Northwest, Sun Devil Ale ™ is known for it’s light citrusy hop flavor balanced with a firm caramel malt character. Deep, golden-maroon in color, the Sun Devil Ale ™ is a pub favorite that goes excellent with everything from bacon cheeseburgers to filet mignon.

draft at papago... dark amber colored pour with a soapy white head and lots of random splotchy lacing. aromas of caramel, leafy hops, grass, honey and malt... only everything is faint and subdued. the flavor is the same along with some wood, grain, meh and a dry lightly resinous finish. the aftertaste is lovely... piney, leafy and hoppy... too bad there is nothing leading up to it. medium body with crisp carbonation though somehow not satisfying... very mediocre. 5/4/5/3/10/2.7

On tap at Papago. Pours clear gold with almost no head. The nose is malt, faint hops and spice. The taste is the same with some sweet grain mixed in. Medium mouthfeel. Not very good.

Tap @ Brewery. Amber body with off white head. Detected more malt and a roasty at that in the aroma and flavor. Heavy malt and not much citrus made this one little slugish and more like standard swill. Odd pale ale for me.
