Pale yellow true to style, but the lacing on the glass makes it more special and raises its score. Nose of slightly sour apple, some sweet malt, spices. Taste is very crisp like a lager, but lacks the bad bitterness I associate with that style of beer. Some good spices, very refreshing, maybe a light citrus, slightly bittering hops which are welcome. Carbonation and weight are really just average. Nothing special, but not bad. I could drink this all night. No aspect lingers in a bad way, and it’s a well balanced beer. Nice kolsch! Aromas of floral and grain with a toasted malt background. The flavor found grain and lemon. Light body and crisp. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

The flavor is light and sweet with a touch of hops and a touch of fruit character. It’s light bodied as expected for the style and finishes clean. Not bad. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA

Light grainey quality with floral notes. Has a little bit of a farmhouse ale character to it-just a bit. Light body creamy texture. travita (1941), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2009 [bottle] An overall average beer. I enjoy the beers Schlafly puts out and this one was no exception. Mouthfeel is thin, color is clear/golden yellow. There was a little bitterness to at the finish, but not detracting. bblack99 (212), Kansas City, Missouri, USA

Slightly sweet, slightly hoppy, slightly funky aroma - all relatively subtle. Very light mouthfeel with a medium-strong carbonation, definitely a summer beer. Flavors of light grainy malt, light citrus, and bits of yeast and pepper. Finishes dry.
