Commercial Description:
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

Bottle. This beer is a little too sour for me. Sour heads might appreciate it. Smells nice and nice flavor. Just doesn’t taste right.

Bottle at home. Clear red brown coloured with a medium sized fast disappearing off white head. Spicy aroma of coriander and caramel with notes of dried fruits. Fruity flavour of caramel, coriander and chocolate with notes of spices and metal. Spicy finish. A bit watery.

750 ml bottle. Pours a rich brown with a ruby hue. Aroma is nutty, hoppy, somewhat fruity. Body is full and rich. Flavors range from light fall fruits, to somewhat of a dry wheat yeastiness, a slight citrus bite, and a sweet malty finish.

Arome and appearance don’t blow me away, but the flavor is very full wand sweet with a little bitterness to it. Had a 25cl bottle and the beer looks brown, so I’m guessing it’s this one.

Overly sweet sugarbomb. Tastes like sugary buckwheat cereal. A little sourness in the nose and flavor, it tastes like brown sugar water. Not much carbonation, pours brown, smells of must.

33cl bottle at Cambrinus, Bruges. Pours dark brown, coca-cola like. Aroma is spicy, sarasin, malt and banana. Some hop. Taste is like aroma. Carbonation is quite fizzy. It has the feeling of a saison.

Dark brown-red hints with a thin tan head. Aroma is lightly roasty, chocolate, sweet malts, caramel. Taste is spicy, roasted malt, chocolate and caramel, a bit of fruit and a smooth wheat like body.
