otakuden (196), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2008 Skol isn’t a great lager, but it isn’t horrible either. Skol reminds me a lot of the big name domestic beers with their light, easy to drink palate and sweet flavor profiles.

A small head forms on the top but fades quickly into miniscule existence. A bright straw yellow with golden hues, the nose is sweet, almost like sweet corn or grain. Hop spice with a bit of lemon lingers in the background, but sweet is the main flavor profile I get from Skol. Very light in body, maybe even a bit watery. Again, I am reminded of some of our larger domestic lager beers.

Overall, an OK lager and a decent interpretation of the style out of Turkey. It could use less grainy sweetness and more lager yeast flavor profiles for complexity. If there was nothing else, I would be ok with grabbing a Skol, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find or buy one. jjpm74 (3446), Connecticut, USA May 26, 2008 A basic island lager. Pours a muted yellow with some fizzy bubbles. Not much going on in the way of aromas other than water and a passing hop note or two. Tastes like some dry malt and watter with a touch of a peppery splash. Pretty inoffensive and watery. budweiserblows (31), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Apr 1, 2008 Not a good beer for certain, but far superior to the one other beer brewed in this St. Kitts brewery, Carib. Definitely not worth trying unless you seriously obsess over Caribbean beer. Kevin (1779), Colorado, USA Oct 27, 2005 stinking rotting ivy aroma. light yellow urine pour. watered down vegetable taste that is unpleasant in a pear way. this is a bad beer. bu11zeye (3887), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 24, 2005 (Bottle, courtesy of Lumpy) Pours a pale ylloe body with a small white head. Aroma similar to Heni. Funky metallic and corn flavor.
