Bottle: Pours a dark mahogany color with a nice puffy head and a clean film of lacing. The nose is sweet and yeasty with some figs and candi sugar showing first followed by some caramel and grape. The flavor is mellow, a balanced yeasty belgian. Spicy finish with a leathery twang towards the end. Nice winter belgian.

Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes berries and malt as well as lighter notes of alcohol and spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, malt, wood, and over ripe fruits. The finish is dry and a bit spicy. OK, but a bit boring.
