Full, malty body with dark chocolate and burnt caramel. The aroma hints at the delights awaiting you within the glass. Smooth, drinkable palate but really you should take your time! Excellent dryness once the dark fruit and cocoa flavours pass. A great example of a porter. Toxygen (390), Sanford, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2009 On tap at Tyler’s. Poured dark amber/brown with a thick head that released a relatively lacking aroma compared to the taste. There is a huge malted hop taste and a smooth dry finish of chocolate/mocha malts. Nice session beer. cexshun (83), Portage, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Pours a very dark black. Tan head a little foamy. Head dissipates quickly with no lacing. Nose is lacking a bit. A roasted character I guess. A little malt. Flavor strong of roasted malts. Nutty. Bitter coffee finish. A little thin on the palate. Good carbonation levels. Slightly fizzy. Overall, pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but very drinkable. More nose would improve this beer greatly. ksurkin (412), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
