APPEARANCE: Poured from tap into a pint glass, it showed a terrific copper color with a thick tall cream-colored head which left nice lacing as it slowly dissipated. AROMA: Great malt and hops blend. Caramel and roasted smells with an earthy hop aroma mixed in. FLAVOR: I like drinking this one when I go to Sockeye Brewery. It has the right balance of malt sweetness, roasted flavors up front, and hops flavor and bitterness in the finish. Definately not a lop-sided beer. PALATE: This is no weakling. I like the fuller texture this beer portrays, not watery or thin. OVERALL IMPRESSION: The sweet roast up front and slight bitterness in the end, coupled with a full texture make this one good all the way through to last drop. I cant have just one. Serving type: on-tap

Draft: Brownish orange pour with a modest off-white head. Sticky lacing. Aroma was of light florals, earthy and wheat, a bit spicey. Tastes like wheat bread and floral hops were mated. Maybe some rye? Has a spicey, earthy, and floral menagerie. Good, but I want less spice and more hops!

Tap at brewpub: Clear amber color with no head and a little runny lacing. The aroma is one of fairly balanced hops and malts along with something like alcohol. The taste is alcohol and shows a good hop presence. Other flavors are wood splinters and mild furniture polish and a little bit of cough syrup. It has a medium bidy with a malty finish. Pretty good.

This is a well balanced brew that is very tastey; not overly hoppy, but earthy and floral hops finish nicely from a bready and aromatic malty base; nice creamy texture and lively body without being overly carbonated; quality brew

Hazy dark brownish. Maybe mahogany. Malty nose with hints of floral hops. The flavor is stronger the floral quality with fruits tossed in the mix. Toasty malts. The palate is quite bubbly and pretty heavy bodied.

On Tap at the brew pub slightly hazy deep chestnut color with no head and only wisps of white lacing. Mild malty aroma. Flavor was also toned down and mild but balanced. Little hops but probly right for the malt content. A bit woody and green tasting. Pleasant though. A nice seasonal.

Pours a hazy brown auburn color with a nice puffy head and lacing all the way down. Aroma is mild but basically a little malty and a little hoppy. Flavor is slightly sweet from the toasted malt and hops punctuate this with pristine balance. Finishes with a medium body and an effervescent refreshing end. This is a great beer, almost like their Oktoberfest with the maltiness.
