Tap @ SPH. Pours a clear gold with a barely-there and quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma is Cascade hops with slight fruit notes (apricot? peach?) as well as a bit of a wheat characteristic. Taste is hops and slight fruit notes up front, dissolving into a clean, dry wheat finish. Very smooth overall, and I applaud them for adding some backbone to the usual fare you see for summer ales.

Approximately 4 oz. sample, on tap at the brewpub. Consumed on 7-31-08. This should be classified as an American Pale Ale. The Golden Ale/Blond Ale designation is completely inapt. Pours a clear gold with some bubbling. Nice hoppiness and apricot scent in the aroma. Pleasant fruit juice / nectar flavor. Lemon dryness in the finish. Long, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Soft in the palate.

On tap at the brewpub. Aroma of lemon-lime, orangey wheat. Flavor of wheatiness, with a limey tartness and hints of orange peel. Quite good.

On tap at SPH. Pours light gold with a small white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light citrus and flowery hops. Flavor is quite fruity! Also some bitter hops, light pale malts, some citrus/lemon, and flowery hops. Well balanced and very tasty. An excellent summer ale.
