thenick (611), North Bellmore, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 Tap @ SPH. Pours a clear gold with a barely-there and quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma is Cascade hops with slight fruit notes (apricot? peach?) as well as a bit of a wheat characteristic. Taste is hops and slight fruit notes up front, dissolving into a clean, dry wheat finish. Very smooth overall, and I applaud them for adding some backbone to the usual fare you see for summer ales. islay (409), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 16, 2008 Approximately 4 oz. sample, on tap at the brewpub. Consumed on 7-31-08. This should be classified as an American Pale Ale. The Golden Ale/Blond Ale designation is completely inapt. Pours a clear gold with some bubbling. Nice hoppiness and apricot scent in the aroma. Pleasant fruit juice / nectar flavor. Lemon dryness in the finish. Long, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Soft in the palate. fredandboboflo (715), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Aroma of lemon-lime, orangey wheat. Flavor of wheatiness, with a limey tartness and hints of orange peel. Quite good. LilBeerDoctor (729), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 On tap at SPH. Pours light gold with a small white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light citrus and flowery hops. Flavor is quite fruity! Also some bitter hops, light pale malts, some citrus/lemon, and flowery hops. Well balanced and very tasty. An excellent summer ale.
