DSG (994), Yuvalim, Israel Nov 30, 2008 (10/25/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Southampton. Clear pale golden color. Aroma of pale malt, a bit of fresh hops with light grassy and citrus notes. Sweetish malty flavor with some graininess a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied. A decent light beer. islay (409), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 1, 2008 4 oz. sample, on tap at the brewpub. Consumed on 7-31-08. "Beery," metallic aroma features light citrus (mainly lemon). Pours a clear, effervescent pale gold with near-white head. Looks pretty cool for what it is. The taste is that of an above average pale lager. There’s not much to it, but it’s not offensive. Fizzy, crisp, and lively on the palate. Light body, but not as light as I expected. Chapel (300), Levittown, New York, USA Feb 18, 2008 The one thing I have to give this credit for is that it was extremely smooth. Other than that this is an extremely poor beer. Pours like urine. Smells like water. Tastes like grass. I am embarrassed to say that I got this for the rating from the otherwise excellent brew pub known as the South Hampton Publick House. WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA Feb 12, 2008 Draught at the SPH Brewpub. First off I must state that I am by no means a Light Beer Drinker. Very pale yellow pour with a good head. Boring and bland flavour. Would go well with a glass of water w/o lemon and a salad with no dressing. CharlesDarwin (1442), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 11, 2008 On tap at the Publick House. Pours incredibly pale, almost just a lightly tinged water. Foamy and rising in crisp white above. No aroma. Flavor immeadiately develops that predictable rubbery sharpness, that’s unbearable. Really thin and lacking. Ick. Finish is grassy. Why makes this when you have the Golden Lager? This is just as bad as most other pale lagers.
