DSG (994), Yuvalim, Israel Nov 30, 2008 (10/25/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Southampton. Clear amber. Aroma of pumpkin, some spiciness and some caramel. Sweetish flavor of pumpkin and spices. Medium-bodied. So-so. glennmastrange (459), hobe sound, Florida, USA Nov 28, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of cereal and roasted, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast with nutmeg, squash, and brown sugar in the background. Head is small, creamy white with fair lacing and is mostly diminshing. Color is clear copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderatelly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery and has a lively carbonation. A very tastey version of a Pumpkin Ale. A style I’m not very fond of, but it didn’t have the pumpkin pie taste that others do. MrBunn (948), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 21, 2008 Bomber. Pours a dark amber with a little bit of a sudsy head and aromas that are thick with pie spices (to the point of drowning out anything else that may be there.) Flavor has a kind of sour spice to it... spices are very dominant, but go fairly well with the theme and don’t come across as artificial or unwarranted. This is pretty good, but there are better pumpkin beers in the world. j12601 (65), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a rich orange/copper color with a faint haziness, and a thin white head. Strong cinnamon aroma and pumpkin notes. Creamy mouth feel with light malt notes leading into a gentle warming finish. dchmela (818), Orlando, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bomber courtesy my buddy Joe. Pours a pumpkin orange with a thick off white head. Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg aroma, very pumpkin pie like. Malty sweet pumpkin pie flavor with cinnamon and lots of spices, yet very drinkable with just a hint of spice bitterness on the finish.
