BMan1113VR (1149), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Nov 28, 2008 Bottle provided by my friend, BlutoBlutarsky. A gusher. Pouurs with a large, rocky head and a hazy golden body. Good retention. Aroma is a bit sour with citrus, fruits, light spices, dryness and an earthy element. Taste is earthy with a touch of caramel sweetness. A bit husky with a mild alcohol backbone. Very lively carbonation, with a dry mouthfeel. BeerGestapo (399), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2008 Brewed in the USA !!! (KSBF) Pours a hazy yellow color with a monster white head. The aroma is of spices, and lemons. The taste is of apples, candy and spices. This saison has some nice carbonation and was delightful to drink. :) jcr (875), Jasper, Indiana, USA Oct 26, 2008 750 ml. Though a little too sweet, this saison has a moderately bitter backbone to add balance. Clear golden body with a large, frothy white head that slowly diminishes. The aroma contains strong notes of mildew, mold, toasted grain, clove, lemon and honey with a hint of grass. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. The finish is more bitter than sweet and moderately acidic with some peppery alcohol notes. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture and lively carbonation that is fizzy on the tongue. Overall, an enjoyable, solid saison. ghawener (729), San Salvador, El Salvador Oct 25, 2008 Thanks to rcasta. Bottle: Full bodied, complex, fruity & bready. Citrus and coriander notes. Very nice. jokeefe80 (4), Natick, Massachusetts, USA does not count Oct 22, 2008 It poured a nice head, with a bright gold color in the body below . A very dry, and lightly fruity aroma compliments it’s appearance and taste. The taste is very crisp and clean, and finishes with a slight fruity flavor that even has notes of citrus. Malt and yeast characteristics are very prevalent, and matches well with the smooth carbonated feel.
