Commercial Description:
Southampton Trappist-style TRIPLE ale is our rendition of this classic, deceptively strong style of golden ale. Brewed with the highest respect for the tradition of the great Belgian Trappist brewers.

Pours golden in coloration , tropical fruity notes, orange, banana, apples and funk. Sweet, somewhat hoppy. I personally feel it is a little band for a triple, was hoping for more of those farm house like flavors.

65 cl bottle, thanks ekstedt. Cloudy golden with a fully diminishing small white head leaving virtually no lacing. Lightly malty and yeasty and moderately hoppy. Notes of orange, soap, banana, white wine and honey. Moderately sweet and acidic with light bitterness and an average finish. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Bottle, bought @ Aarhus Vinhandel.<br /> Pours clear golden, small floaties. Fizzy off-white head that settles as a thin, creamy film. Aroma has cloves, banana, apples, yeast, hay, malts. Fine mouthfeel with a relatively high carbonation. Flavour is quite sweet and grainy with some fine, zesty fruit. Oranges, vinious, cloves, coriander and lemons. Not spectacular, but still very drinkable.

22 oz. bottle - thanks to springslicker for the trade; bright gold, slight haze and carbonation; white head quickly fades; aromas of raw grain, lemons, yeast, bananas and cloves; nice aromas overall with a sweet graininess; thin body and slight tart; aromas are mild; grain and lemons; kind of blah

Bomber. Poured crystal-clear brighter golden with a short dusting of white head. The aroma was very sweet and very yeasty, opening with pale malts and spiked appley notes.. white pepper and coriander accents.. too aggressive and lacking some balance. The flavor opened with tany sour light fruit skins and peppery notes kicking the tip of the tongue around a little.. the middle had pale malts paired with a thick dose of spicy Belgian yeast.. finished with more peppery heat, vanilla beans, and a pinch of banana. Sharp at too many points on the palate to flow smoothly.. medium-plus bodied and syrupy with low carbonation.. bit too sweet as well.
