Nov 20, 2008 Tap @ Hamilton’s. Black pour with a squatty tan head. Old coffee and cream with cocoa powder in the nose. Bitter baker’s chocolate up front that melds into a coffee-nuts-malt carpet on your tongue. A bit grainy and metallic at times Some nuts and smoke/roast comes through, but inconsistently. I still liked it despite its warts.

Oct 18, 2008 Draught at Toronado, San Francisco, July 2008. Black with coffee and chocolate aroma. Mouthfeel is medium. Wonderful chocolate flavour, with coffee beans, slightly bitter.

Sep 23, 2008 On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours dark brown with a smooth light beige head. Smooth body with a coffee finish. Dark bakers chocolate and coffee give a nice character to this beer. Felt a bit high in the carbonation realm leaving it too dry and breaking up the palate to much, but the malt profile was nice.

Aug 22, 2008 Darker colored. Aroma is the usual chocolate, caramel, coffee deal. Medium bodied, quite drinkable. Went really nicely with a burger though.
