Commercial Description:
Most everyone has heard of this style, even if they haven’t tried it. Our version is a traditional dry Stout, found in the southern part of Ireland. It’s dark, drinkable and definitely true to style.

Amazingly dark and thick looking. There is some really good stuff going on here. It is full of chocolate, coffee, and roasted nuts with just a bit of hop for a zing effect. Enjoyable to the bottom of the glass.

Draught at Square One. Pours black with an average, creamy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, coffee, burnt), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of smoke and tar. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness and acidity, moderate bitterness.

On tap at the brewery, deep black color, with a creamy tan-colored head, roasted malt nose, with some roasted coffee beans and black bitter chocolate accents, with a faint liquorice, burnt toast note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a roasted malt, black coffee character, with a hint of mocha, and a mild flowery hop leafiness, leading towards a roasty, bitterness finish.
