| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Copper pour with medium fizzy head. Nose of sweet fruity maltines. Flavors....ehhh mostly meh. Very sweet. Metallic and cheap tasting. Gonna pass. obguthr (1072), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Only slightly aromatic with malt on the nose. Clear amber, thin head. Copper flavor with definite vanilla hints. Underrated, decent brew. dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Smooth and full bodied. Amber, with very little head. The aroma is malt and sweet fruit. That sweetness carries through to the taste. For an amber lager, this is quite nice. JFGrind (1360), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 11, 2009 I have a soft spot for Lion Brewery and this was a surprise find @ Total Wine in VA Beach. New label, new beer (I think!) even new bottle caps (with new puzzles). Write-up on the six-pack holder touts Stegmaier’s German roots, Union Made and American owned. A bit of education for the beer drinker on the brewery. Amber Lager ran about six bucks a sixer. Grainy aroma, slight head, malt body, medium bitterness. Middle of the road beer, more for a macro/session drinker. I prefer the Porter but would pick-up Steg Amber Lager again. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Draught, #506. Copper pour. Earthy aroma and flavor with some offness. High chuggability, but not a great beer. dkachur (2431), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 31, 2009 12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear orange copper color with a thin white head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is caramel, light toastiness and light nuttiness. Taste is metallic malts with a bit of tart apple like fruit notes and a bit of caramel and rye bread. Thin-medium bodied, weak carbonation. MrBunn (1561), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours a brownish gold with a thin foam head and aromas of metal and grain. Flavor has a bit of an herbal zing to add to the aroma mix but isn’t very compelling. Has an apple juice malt presence, a bit of metal and some herbal junk.
