On tap at TableRock Brew Pub, Boise Pours out a brown topped with a small tan head. Aroma of light coffee, dark chocolate and some roast malt. Taste was of a little burnt/smoke coffee along with some dark bitterness.

Draught sample at brewery. Coffee, toasted grain, chocolate. Light smoke, mild bitter hoppy. Dark brown-black clear with light tan lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with roasted, toasted grains. Coffee and light smoke, bitter chocolate. Not very sweet. Big bitter finish and more bitter after with a dry nutty character.

On Tap: Rich brown pour with a smaller tan head and decent lacing. Nose of roasted malt leads into a taste of coffee and roasted malt. Pretty basic, but not bad at all.

On Tap at the brewpub. Clear deep red brown. Lasting modest light tan head and thick sticky lacing that coats the now empty glass. Aroma is mild light roasted and the flavor is a bit more so. Fairly thin but smooth and softly carbed. A basic quaffable porter.

On Tap at Table Rock: Dark brown in color with a lovely light brown head. Aromas and tastes mainly of roasted nuts and coffee. Think like most porters, but not very strong.

Somewhat disappointing, pours big and brown, with a little cloud like head, smells of coffee, and has some chocately aftertones to it, but bland, something was definitely missing.

This porter was smooth with coffee and a slight malty chocolate flavor. I'd drink it again.

dry, wet, slight chocolate notes, very watered down, light dry finish, an overall unimpressive porter.
