Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is nutty, sweet, caramel and brown sugar. A medium to full bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel, nutty and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Aroma is malty and bready, with light fruit malt/hop flora to round it out. Appearance is clear amber with a medium retained off white head. Flavor is more like the aroma with malt dominating, sweet, low bittering and english in strength. Mouthfeel is medium body with a a very low carb texture. Overall, good and very easy drinking. Deep clear brown with a large and lasting sandy colored head. Sheeting lacing that stays till the sapler glas was bereft of its malty goodness. Lots of lightly roasted malt aromas and flavors. It has a thick body with a cloudy light brown color. Sweet toffee are also apparent. This is one of my favorites at Table Rock. On their latest description in the restaurant, they said that if Starbuck’s made beer this would be it . . . well, at first sip you see what they are saying, but then the ale becomes more smooth and mellow and does not kick you in the face like a cup of Starbucks coffee.
