| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Bottle cl. Dark brown clour, alomst no head. In the nose caramel, malt and candy, like so much other bocks. Tastes bitter, with alcohol dominating a lot. Not sweet, normal finish, but too less distinction with bocks with less alocohol. I think the alcohol is too dominantly appearant. altonbrownd (1966), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Pours a lovely ruby-red with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has notes of cognac, nuts, chocolate and softly roasted. Medium carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lightly roasted, chocolate - a touch funky. Vinious finish with soft hoppiness. borisz (194), Netherlands

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Yellow, dense head, soon gone over fully hazy amber-brown beer. Wood, little bit of alcohol, apporting sweetness, some fusels in the nose. Sweet - with a bit harsh, roasted finish. Chocolate, certainly warming up, and something as leaves, laid up in sugar; After some time, speculoos (hard gingerbread). Very well-bodied, syrupy MF. A bit sweet, if I may say so. And if not, too. Big thanks to CK! bierkoning (6110), La Tropica, Netherlands

Caramel, butter and a hint of raspberry in the aroma. Caramel, butter, chocolate cake and laurel in the flavor. Just a bit alcoholic, but satisfyingly balanced.
