| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2009 750 ml corked bottle, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9.0%. Pale straw coloured beer, huge to big white head. Nice fruity and spicy aroma, moderate notes of Belgian yeast, hints of honey. The flavour is distinctly spicy on a moderately sweet and fruity background. The beer is fairly light bodied for its strength, alcohol is noticeable but not too much. Slightly peppery finish. A decent tripel! Will buy again. ricke (240), Malme, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Slightly hazy golden yellow, with a big white head that leaves plenty of lacings.
The smell is rather clean and crisp with notes of white bread, spices, phenols and citric hops, and a mild yeastiness. Not overly powerful, but still nice.
The taste is quite good, but it lacks a little balance. It’s rather sweet in the mouth with notes of white bread, lemon-peel and yeast. Notes of phenols and floral hops. The finish is quite bitter - more so than many other Tripels - with citric hop notes and herbs. Sweetish and lightly phenolic alcohol raps it up.
Medium body with a crisp mouthfeel. Carbonation isn’t as sharp as in some other beers of the same style.
This is just above decent. It lacks some complexity and balance, but it’s quite tasty.

Flavour: sweetish, pretty light. Suprisingly light, but very malty. Thick. Only a vague afterbitterness of hops. More yeasty and spicy than fruity. A good tripel.
Appearance: hazy warm yellow body with frothy, almost milky, white head.
Palate: fizzy, thick, frothy, rustic

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Sampled from a 0.75 L corked bottle@Olympen, Oslo. Blond-headed, with a gold colored, slightly hazed body. Doughy malts up front, follow by a scent of lemonade and bread crust. Not very hoppy, not very spicy either, some subtle tones of grass and mild spices only. Taste is medium sweet and grainy, almost like breakfast cereals. A fine lemony fruitiness underneath. Tones og fresh yeast and mild spices. Alcohol is very well msked. Softly carbonated body, leading to a slick and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes on the drier side, with a fine fruitiness and a noticeable hoppy bite. Very likable. Rune (2807), Tromsø, Norway
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2009 330ml bottle bought at Systembolaget in Linköping. When opened and poured into the glass there is first a nice scent of bread dough before the aroma of spiced fruits takes over. Airy, white froth that stays well for most of the time. Decent lacing on the glass. Golden body with a very slight haze. An extra score for the cool label design. Rounded bittersweet taste of dried hoppy fruits developing in the direction of yeasty fruitiness. Pleasant lingering dryness to the ending. Some oily hops on the swallow. Soft, natural carbonated. Hidden alcohol. Feels like a well balanced tripel. When the ale becomes available in Norway, I’ll be sure to buy a few bottles for warming enjoyment during the dark polar nights (at home, Tromsø 22.10.2009). | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Clear straw colored with a very scant white head than disappears rapidly. No lacing. Aroma of raw hamburger meat. Taste begins with citrus and grapefruit, then adds a bit of pepper and spice. Very faint bitter finish, but not enough for a supposed tripel. durhambeer (1206), Durham, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2009 11.2 oz bottle. Pours nearly clear gold with lovely foamy white head and great retention. At first, this struck me as off a bit, but then I got into it. Hoppy and mildly citrusy, but malty for a tripel, and a bit earthy. Some spice in there that I couldn’t quite figure out. Apple, banana, and some orange/lemon. Light palate. I dig it.
