I’ve bought a bottle at the brewery, but this stuff is not a good one. The appearance is nice with a deep golden, hazy body and a stable creamy off white head. But the aroma and flavor are both unbalanced....Acidic and straw, some unpleasant sesame taste. I am dissapointed because other beers of the brewpub were both delicious and fine...

09/01 0.5 l swing top bottle ogivlado brought from the brewpub, thanks for sharing! It poured a clear, deep golden body with medium sized head. Malty nose, a bit of skunk cornflakes, typical for Märzens. Interestingly, flavor shows hopiness, mostly orange or grassy, with just slight honey maltiness. Bitter, with medium body thickness. Nice long and bitter finish with occasional hints of cardboard. Fine beer from this brewpub, and definitely interesting example of this Austrian style.

take away bottle(500ml). -Dark golden/orange coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, stale honey nose. Malty, grassy hops and cereals with notes of orange and pepper. Quite dry and bitter finish.

0.5l bottle that ogivlado brought from the brewpub, shared with him and heavy (thanks!)
Poured a murky honey orange body with a thick medium-big white head that went away a bit slowly. Nose dominated by honey, some perfumey orange, almost cornflakes (no corn though). The taste then surprised me by being bitter and dry, with orange (hop) taking over. Just a bit soapy. Bitter hop aftertaste. Yup, this is definitely a good beer. I even feel like I’m underrating it a little.

My Bottom Line:
Crisp toastiness leads to a trail of honey and herbal hops in this nimble and efficient Märzen.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A mountain of foam soars above the misty pale golden amber.
-Effervescence is soft and increases drinkability.
-Herbal hops contribute a little bitterness, but it remains subtle.
-This is a simple recipe, but it is well-rendered and serves its purpose very nicely, like all Wieden beers I had that day.

On tap at the brewpub.

Draught at the brewpub. Weak fruity aroma. Cloudy dark amber colour. Small lumpy head. The flavour is OK malty with a good level of alcohol. Slightly peppery in the finish, cleansing.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep bronze in colour with a big, off white head. Crisp malt aroma, with some grassy hops and a touch of hay. Flavour had some fruit, a hint of caramel, orange peel and a long dry finish. My favourite example of this style to date - great stuff.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange/amber - offwhite head. Sweetness, light alcoholic, medium hoppy, candy, grassy. OK !!!
