My Bottom Line:
Toffee and crisp toastiness dominate the spiciness of the rye and the hops in this soft and very drinkable Roggenbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slab of foam slowly sinks into the misty dark amber.
-Toffee is almost overwhelming in the nose, making it singular.
-The last half of each sip could be hoppier.
-The finish is still ably dried out, which makes this an easy pint.
-This by no means tastes like a typical Roggenbier, even though rye is purportedly used.

Draught at the brewpub.
Pale brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, dusty nose. Weak malty, buttery, almost no hops and touch of alcohol. Watery palate and moderate bitter finish. Where is rye here???

Draught, 4.7% at the brewpub. Weak buttery aroma, perhaps just cardboard. Dark red brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is buttery, perhaps creamy. Not spicy. Sourish bitterness in the finish.
