Beautiful copper brown beer with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of grass, sweet fruits. Taste of dark malts, nuts, dry bitterness, without any lingering aftertaste at first, but as the beer warms up, it gets better and better. A good one.

(bottle) Hazy, copper colour with a light-beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted aroma with notes of caramel, liquorice and berry-fruity, slightly piney hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malty base, dry mouthfeel with a good dash of fruity and piney hops; dry and bitter fruity hoppy finish. Well-crafted brew. 22.XI.09

Beautiful copper brown beer with medium beige head. Grass, some sweetness and redcurrants in the aroma that is overally quite aromatic. Flavour is simpler than aroma and slightly dusty, malts, grass and dry bitterness; not-inspired. Quite nice to drink but unfortunately too light. Good looking beer with nice aromas, but light body with simple flavour is slightly disappointment.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Reddish brown color, frothy head. Candied cherry, toffee and flowers in the aroma. Malty flowery bitter flavor with hints of toffee and red fruit.

Bottle, new label. Dark red copper, sizeable and firm beige head. Nicely subtle hoppy nose with currants, little ash, toasted bread and banana, maple syrup at room temperature. Flavor is more dry bready malts, grains, little currants, some paper and nuttiness, slightly stodgy moderate bitterness and little dry ash in the finish, very little flavoring hops found. Light to medium bodied, soft unnotable palate, flows down easily. Another forgettable red ale, and didn’t even feel very fresh though the BBE is still well over a year away. And that’s a 6+ for the aroma and a 6- for the flavor actually.

Bottled(500ml). -Dark orange coloured, small off-white head, sweet multy nose. Sweet malty, light nutty and bitter aromatic hoppy taste with peppery and caramel notes. Short bitterish finish, overall a bit too weak.

(Bottled, rated earlier when RB was down) Slightly hazy darkish red with a medium, firm and tanned, slightly lacy head. Mild aroma of toffeeish malt and berries. Slightly sweet, toffeeish-malty flavor with piney-aromatic hops. Medium body with slightly lemonadey carbonation. Least interesting of the Black-Red-Gold trio, but still quite drinkable.
