Been to Munich seven times, Belgium and Czech once. I love beer with a bite, but appreciate light ones if they are well made. Favorites are McNeills and Hacker-......add Heavyweight and Highpoint. At a brewfest some years ago I saw people sniffing beer and remarked "the wine a**holes are here". Beer falls in 4 catagories for me: better than life itself, great, good or bad and forget about tasting plums, or clover or anything else (to each their own). I remember when the only good beer was Pabst Bock or Ballentine IPA. First micros I ever had were Sierra Neveda IPA and Anchor Steam. God keep Richie Stolarz and all those beer drinkers (and everyone else) murdered on Sept 11. Long live the Man of Kent.
