Where I come from, beer was for getting wasted. I forced myself to enjoy the cheap beer because that’s what was available. It wasn’t until grad school that I discovered, and learned to really appreciate, beer for its taste and complexity. My last summer of school was spent not partying but going down to the local liquor store and getting a different microbrewed six pack every weekend. I’m still learning a lot but I’m very interested in what factors make a beer so unique.
