My introduction to strong beer came as a teenager getting to know Colt 45 Ice. I drank it routinely. Thankfully, at about the same time I was introduced to Bell’s Oberon and Best Brown, then New Holland. Soon I happened upon Two Hearted Ale and the days of malt liquor were more or less over. These beers had a huge impact on my young palate, and I’ve been in love with beer ever since.
With a few exceptions, the beers I bother to rate here are beers that I enjoy.
