In a face to face trade, Scott hooked me up with a bunch of beers from Manitoba’s Half Pints Brewery. I’m quite excited to try these beers. He also brought along a little top 50 beer called Peche Mortel! Dude... anytime you come down to MN, I’ll hook you up! Thanks Scott!
Scott and I are making a habit of this - I wanted 3 of the new Half Pints barleywines to cellar, and he delivered - a cool shipper, next day delivery, with a Tyranena Hop Whore, a Viking Rauch, and an Brau Brothers Ring Neck Braun Ale as extras. Always a pleasant trade - I’ll do it again for sure!
We ping-ponged a shipper - I sent him some Stone, Girardin Black label and a few other things, he sent me 5 bombers of the Half Pints dIPA and a can of Surly - our 4th deal, more to come!

In-person trade. Scott brought 4 Half Pints bombers (2x Weizenbock, singles of Weizen Heimer & Phils Pils) snugly packed in his luggage - I swapped an Alskan Smoked Porter, a Flying Dog Gonzo, a Founders Devil Dancer and one other. Good guy, he tossed in a can of Surly Furious to boot!
"Hey Harry, I’m heading to Wisconsin - can I get you anything?" - and THIS is what he sends (I will have to match it somehow) in incredibly tight box overnight is RRiver Salvation(750), NG Unplugged Belgian Quad, Tyranena Devil Made Me Do It Imp Oatmeal Porter, and cans of Surly Bender & Furious. What a guy!! Did I mention the growler of Town Hall Masala Mama???I really have to reward him!!
Oakbluff sent the Half Pints Holy Trinity from Winnipeg - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit - along with HPs Burly Wine, Little Scrapper IPA, Stir Stick Stout, and Weizenbock, which was actually a bonus offered upon hearing of the pending release. Also tracked down a Fort Garry Dark Ale, and sent an ironic bonus to go with the Trinity - Bell’s Hell Hath No Fury! Great trader!
