I’m an admitted novice, but as I move along from beer to beer, I’m rapidly discovering something: I’m a dark beer guy. I like thick, intense richness, with a downplayed hop presence and hints of brown sugar and spices. It’s quickly becoming apparent to me that if I was to judge where to live based upon what beers I enjoy, Belgium is the place to be.
