consumer@fda.gov

Send an email, let the FDA know that the burden of proof is on them. Ask them why the makers of Kahlua didn’t get a bullying letter. Tell them they are being ridiculous.

harassing 5 Seasons must be fun. first, no rain beer...now this? there is about 100 "green" groups that would back them in court for the rain beer deal though.

So, the FDA is informing the brewers that there is no regulation permitting caffeine in alcohlic beverages. Seeing as law, in our culture, is generally proscriptive in nature, here’s my question: is there a regulation that prohibits it?

the fda breakdown

i couldn’t agree with oakes more with the newest FDA debacle. this is a huge can of worms that if the drinks industry, beer included, does not get alert and active ASAP, bad things could be afoot very soon.

Not to be a buzz kill on this post, but the FDA is investigating products with added caffeine, not coffee flavored beer or beer brewed with coffee. There is a difference.

Right. More anti-business policies from the Obama Administration. I know this isn’t the politics forum, but this is most definitely a political issues. I am very thankful to the State for protecting me from myself and the danger of caffeine.

I herald this question. The FDA seems more threatening rather than having something of substance. Somebody’s working TOO hard there.

Fuck the FDA, how much caffeine is really in these beers? This is fucking bullshit. This is what the Govt has time to do? Jesus.

No, they’re also tackling commercials having a higher volume than the show in which they are shown. I know you’re trying to insinuate that the government wastes time but as you can see, I have proven you wrong.
