I am unfortunately drinking Beavertown Trillium Beaverillium. At £10.50 a pint.
And it's rubbish. Badly brewed. Bad flavours. Bad textures. Hops are supposed to flavour beer not just be hop flowers in the beer. It rips the lining of your tongue off. Dank dank dank aroma which smells of bins and a mouthfeel of hop flowers shoved in your mouth.
Not enjoyable in any way. Genuinely this beer is revolting and its symptomatic of all these dank shit ipas.
I know people see me as old school but i have to call this beer and this beer style out.
It's not pleasant to drink
I've had enough. No more NE IPA for me.
Anyone with me or is it sheep we're up against? (As The Housemartins so rightly sang)

Ian, that Beavertown/Trillium beer is about 2.5 months old. Many NE/hazy IPAs tend to degrade fairly quickly; this beer changed dramatically after only a few weeks (I know because I had about eight cans over 1.5 months from its release).

You could get angry that the 'style' doesn't always hold up well. But just understand that what you drank was a very different beer from what was released back in August.

This assumes that they haven't re-brewed the beer (I haven't heard anything about it I, so I would be surprised if they have).

Isn't one of those fuller's specials a NEIPA?

Collab with cloudwater iirc

It's a beer you can only enjoy if you have it a nano second after it's been released.

Genuinely, it's sheep we're up against. There isn't a sufficient level of criticism in my view

Fine by me. Scopey is the new king of Fuller's and god bless all the beers that sail in him. My moment has gone. Mind you it did take slightly more time than it takes a NE ipa to go off.
