“Паб Хьюстон Pub Houston, new name, same place. Entrance downstairs on the corner on Zhukovskogo 39 building, and if dark door is shut, try to open it anyway. Modern interior, reminds me of youth clubs. Hiphop played. 14 taps, just ukraine micros. Zëzя is here of course.“

80 /100 SOBORNA 2
“Location just behind Sobor. Both basement and up a little stair, and as I visited in summer, half open room on trottoir. Good service. Twenty beers from ten different micro-breweries on tap on menu, both paper and net code. Abv, plato and ibu on menu, 3 or 5 dl glasses. Beer friendly dishes. A good beerspot. Actually as good, that I achieved a top position in number of breweries. . . New visit august 2021 at their new location: Mala Arnauts'ka St, 64, Odesa. Excellent dark brown möbels (furniture), beer effects, and still ukrainian craft beers dominate. Real dishes only late. Staff don't speak much english.“

“Five or six blocks to the east-south within Odesa city centre. Small bar room, but modern, efficient, fourteen taps with Varvar brews. Staff spoke english. No potomuchta ty govorish porusskyj tozhe hehe. I found well kept, cool and tasty beers here. Also nice beer snacks. And on second visit the following year 2021 I found the burger tasty.“

“Shopping centre Kadorr at 27 Katerynynska has this Sil'po downstairs. Let the escalator bring you down to a modern supermarket with everything of food and beverages. Beer range is good. Many big and minor ukrainian breweries are represented, as well as imports from Danmark, Belgique and Deutschland. At my visit july 2020, they had more kyivan beers from Varvar than Pyvna Duma in Kyiv. Very helpful lady at the counter put bottles in the bags.“

“Central location in Old City if Odessa. Entered into and down, passed a wardrobe, then up again to the right and on first floor. Dark wooden interior, scottish squares, all of it made an english-irish environment to me. Many well known british n irish brands, even a bavarian BraufactuM. About all were known to me. Steak good. Staff know some english. - - - Second visit in summer 2021. Then the second floor is open, with terrasse. I came saturday 19 o'clock, and few guests. Pork Steak and their own beers. Oh, I needed that. “

“Thank God that Odd Brew has moved from the noisy City Food Market to calmer Bunina 12. They open at 16 hours till midnight. Also at Bunina 15 krani taps. Additions in fridge. Contactless card pay machine is there. Small taste 15-20cl for only 35uah. 40cl 60-100uah depending on type, 2-4€, Odessa has a very nice beer price level here.“

“Near the Shevchenko park, to the south. Long menu, in english. Good kitchen. I loved their kuritsa kieva. Their own beers. 3 places have them, this and Alfina and the brewery house. All five beers are not always available. Degustachyonnyj set of 4 and 5 on pivnyj menyu. And they have a little handfull of takeaway-pet-butilki too.“

“Yellow signs on Lanzheronivska vulitsa 28 (not in the middle of Potyomkin stairs) , and inside 12 krani aka taps. 7 were working at my visit. Young staff, spoke english. Cold fresh beers. Also snacks there, and a babushka washing mugs n glasses. Hundred more beers displayed in fridge, many imported, pohjala dugge omnipollo berhet and more. Slightly hipsterish music in the background, and also old american taffel pop from the 50s. Card pay is possible. Absolutely a beerspot.“

“Basement pub, entrance down from the pavement. Easiest to spot when walking from west towards east. One beerman at least spoke english. Friendly guests. Nine taps, from seven Troubadour beers. Sometimes they also have beers from other craft beer brewers around Ukraine. I did not ask for card pay, paid cash. Price level alright, for an expensive city as Odessa sometimes is. I may revisit this place, because of possible bottles.“

“Hey guys, thanks for this amazing place with an impressive assortment of beer and uninhibited environment. I haven't even thought that in Odessa it could be possible. But let me give a little tip for you: would have been really magically if you have had burgers option on your kitchen menu or some kind of that. Anyway this is the best place in Odessa for beer geeks!“

“There are things to like here: comfortable sofas, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Sadly the beer isn't one of the attractions: nothing tasted right. The selection is quite pedestrian (10 ales, two lagers, a wheat beer and a stout), with six of the 14 from their own brewery. Worth a visit if you're in the area but not top three in town.“

“If the staff could be persuaded to turn the music below ear-bleed level, this would be an extremely decent bar. As it is, it's easily the best beer bar in Odessa, just take a table on the terrace or bring earplugs (which mean you can enjoy the air-conditioning without blood dripping onto your shirt). All the beer is from Varvar brewery and I haven't had a better kept pint of any Varvar beer anywhere. Only bar in the city with multiple sour beers on offer. Very decent food. The only downside, other than the noise, is the size: just five tables inside In short, we were here every day of our stay in Odessa and it'll be the first place to be visited next trip.“

“Insane choice of beers, new ones are coming almost every time I come, good music, cozy atmosphere, kind and welcoming staff !!! TV screen and projector for sport events. Best place in Odessa to taste Ukrainian craft beer. Well deserved 15 stars in overall rating.“

“I love that place! Conveniently located in Downtown Odessa it’s all about beer. On top of huge selection of craft beers they offer few types from their own brewery. Highly recommend!“

“Basically another Troubadour place, right in the centre. The menu was identical, except they weren’t sold out of a few beers that Troubadour was. Unfortunately, the beers were almost all stale / infected. They offer flights of 5-10 x 0.15L pours for less than $1 US per sample, which is nice. Service is excruciatingly slow, but friendly and some staff spoke broken English. Wouldn’t recommend it - go to Troubadour instead.“

“A little far out of town - about a $3-4 US Uber or taxi ride out here. They listed 2 house beers, but only had 1 pouring, and it wasn’t great. Menus are only one Cyrillic and the server spoke not a lick of English. Definitely not a top spot in town, but it’s a chill, comfortable place.“

“This place is a gem in craft beer-starved Odessa. It’s tough to find though: you enter this chic food court building that is not well-signed. The taproom is upstairs - you take a flight of stairs on the left after entering and you’ll find it just above next to a wine bar. They had 8 beers on tap when I visited, including 5 of their own. No flights, just 0.4L pours for about $2-2.50 US, but they’re generous with samples. One of the staff spoke broken English, making it easy to order. Some of the beers were quite good, especially the imperial milk stout and black saison. Mandatory stop when in Odessa.“

“The only real craft beer place in town. The entrance is on the corner and you walk down some steps to this cool, modern, funky underground place. They advertise 10 taps, but only had 5 on offer when we visited, including 2 by Varvar and 3 by Zyozya. 0.3 and 0.5L pours available for $2 and $3 US respectively. No bottles when I visited. Server spoke broken English. Worth a stop if in Odessa.“

“Spectacular location, overlooking a park and off from the road. Their menu boasts an array of 8 beers (including an IPA and APA), but they only had 3 when we visited. Prices are a tad higher here than other places, but still dirt cheap compared to the West. Some servers spoke basic English and they have an English menu, so ordering is easy. Worth a stop when in town.“

“Right near the centre of town, this is a good stop for Odessa. They list a lot of beers on their menu, but only had 6 on offer when we visited. They offer all of them in 0.15L pours (for under a buck), which is a sweet deal and much appreciated for the ticker. Beers themselves were mostly clean, if nothing special. Some staff spoke some basic English, so it was easy to order. Definitely worth a stop when in town.“

“Finnaly a place in Odessa, that's all about beer. Other craft pubs in Odessa are just restaurants with a small brewery, and they don't have that much of a selection. Here it is different. at least 8 taps of Ukrainian craft (no beers from abroad, but didn't really care since I wanted to try something local) + a fridge, also with Ukrainian craft. Very good atmosphere, helpful and knowledgeable staff. They have food to beer, but I didn't have it, so no comments. In a city (and country), where craft is not easily available, and the best you can get in a shop is some Belgian ale from import, such a place is a real treasure! Also, the prices are very reasonable.“

“Great location on the corner edge of City Park. The beer selection has grown to include a tasty IPA along with the house lagers. The brewhouse is right opposite the bar and the guys were brewing so filled the air with a waft of malty goodness. Convenient and popular place to have a beer.“

“Selection is all imported and availability on the beer card is limited even though they list a lot of beer most is out of stock. No craft beer that I could see. It’s actually a nice bar, cosy with a pleasant covered patio and the girls working were surprisingly friendly. But prices are very high, even for Ukraine standards so probably best avoided.“

“A nice place overall, and being one of the few to offer their own beer is a must in Odessa (even though that the beer is a bit of a homebrew). Food is ok, prices too.“

“Right on the Park, City Park - the heart of Odessa. Great for watching the bonkers high heels... Two beers on Tap - brewed by Pavel, a cool english speaking brewer. Big pretzels and unfiltered dark and light lagers. In a sea of Inbev/Carlsberg macro brews (even the odd brews, which aren’t so bad) this was a pleasant change. Unfortunately, the smoking situation their back room, was allowed for use by some trendy important russians (apparently) and this was a real shame. The owners need to grow some balls. Congrats to Pavel for making good beers at the pace he has to work at!“

“Nice, light stylish brewpub with good service and traditional food in the beautiful City Park at Deribasovskaya street in the heart of Odessa. Ok prices by Ukrainian standards. Two house beers on tap when I visited but also seasonal beers like hefeweizen and dunkel hefeweizen to come in September.“
