“Stopped in finally after rock climbing nearby. Not a ton of parking but easy on street since it was just after opening in morning. The patio is nice but overlooks unattractive industrial space. Off one main strips in Worcester. Inside is garage style and I really dig the vibe. Slightly bohemian. Nice coffees and tea available. Some snack ma I had lovely cheese bled. Servers were great and friendly. No tips they are on salary but extra money you throw in goes to local charity each month they pick. Nice. Collab also with local non-profits on at least two of todays beers. Seems like place really trying to do right thing. 12 taps and great variety of styles. My type of list on 2 IPAs and the rest interesting fun for me. Can’t wait to visit again“

“Swung by on a Saturday afternoon, place was packed for brunch (as it should be, the food was awesome). Taplist is ~16 taps, well curated, about half Northeastern US (lots of Fox Farm), 1/4 international and 1/4 elsewhere in the US. Bottles, too, heavy on Belgians and Belgian styles. I wouldn't call this place blowaway from a beer perspective but it is very good.“

“Finally made it here. Kind of reminds me of Brick Store pub in GA but not quite as good (still excellent). Nice tap list that isn’t huge but very well curated and get things not normally distributed ala Fox Farm. Food menu is decent seems better for shareable apps. They made mistake with beer and food order but made it corrected. Overall great stop in Worcester.“

“Outdoor seating under a tent, building seems fairly industrial, nice place. Bathroom is actually pretty cool, covered in hundreds of stickers of breweries across the country. Staff were super fast and attendant. Food and beer were well valued.“

“Located in a shopping plaza not too far from I-290 on Route 9 on the Shrewsbury/Worcester town line. I have been to many of these Total Wine stores and this one actually seemed smaller than the others, at least on the outside. Inside, there are still sky high racks of beer including 4 and 6-packs as well as singles. Prices are adequate and it is easy to spend a lot of money there. Tastings occur there from time to time. When I was there Lord Hobo was doing a tasting. A good amount of parking. The only problem with this one is the same as all the others; they have so much beer that some of the beer is old. Watch out for dust on the bottle/can. And look at the dates. The locals and regionals tend to stay reasonably fresh but the imports can sit for a bit. I tend to visit the one in Danvers, Mass since it is closer to me.“

“Visited on Friday so it was pretty packed up... of quite young people. This is some kind of student place I assume. 16 taps and all of them looked interesting which is good. For some reason lots of beers from North Carolina. Good old music background. Looked terrible outside but much better inside.“

“Very noisy place, pretty popular also on Fridays. Music is not for us beer enthusiastic people and it is loud. Beers are under mediocre. Cheap samples thought. Maybe I visited on wrong time. 12 beers on tap and it actually pretty versatile beer list. Many different styles (even quad!) which is probably only good thing in this place.“

“Went day before and day after Zwanze while in Boston. Beer selection is top - four Hill Farmsteads on and later four Cantillons. Very friendly crew behind bar. Tried some high quality regional beer as well. Food was very good both times.“

“Visited with Mike Morse, after tree house. Medium sized space, interior is very wooden, rather dark. Service was friendly. not all beer experts, but good enough for what they do, absolutely. The tap list consisted of a great variety and awesome beers ( a new speedway variant, about 5 hill farmstead ,...) so we had no problems choosing beer here, accapt for the fact we had to limit ourselfs. Flights were available, so things got crazy ! Food was good, but not great, and perhaps I simply expected more of that. value was very agreeable. Worth going out to, if you are in the wider area, even if only for the great taplist.“

“Bar with (24?) taps, 20 seats along the one side, with a handful of tables on the other side. Taplist is very strong, and not even exclusively northeastern; came in for the Hill Farmstead but there was a lot of other choices. Bartenders good, knew their stuff, and friendly. Interestingly the bathrooms are in the next building over. Parking worked out, but it is only metered, and on the busy street. Big crowd at 4 on a work day, who seemed quite knowledgeable. Food mostly artisanal & nosh-y. Enjoyable place.“

“Located a couple of blocks from the Homewood suites in downtown Worcester. The neighborhood looks like it’s gentrifying and this bar is an example of that. Has kind of college bar feel with that sliding disk game and a massive life size jenga dominating the view. It also gets a bit loud. The beer was mostly regional craft with a couple of out of region ringers. It seems like a pretty solid neighborhood place.“

“Upscale bar. Bartender was friendly. Well curated tap list... I was sipping on Hill Farmstead, TRVE and a local brewery. Food was tasty. Bartender was very helpful. Pricy overall. Parking was a pain, but I found a cheap meter a couple blocks away. Recommended stop.“

“First rate bar, the best I have been to in Boston. The only bar in Mas. that has Hill farmstead. Also Oxbow, Tired Hands, and of course Trillium. Perfect lines, great carbonation. On the way back to Canada from Boston.“

“It’s one of those restored dowtnown restaurant/pub things with the imposing wooden bar and the exposed brick wall. It’s downtown Worcester so parking could be an issue though I was able to find a spot in front of the Unitarian church. Top beer list with some breweries that aren’t exactly easy to find on draft. I didn’t get to partake of any food but I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.“

“Visited 3-17-16 right at open. It’s really nice inside, roomy, inviting. Service was on point, but we were early so I’m not sure how it is later in the evening or with big crowds. The waitress was constantly checking on us and seeing if we wanted anything more to drink. Tons of Hill Farmstead on tap at the time as well as plenty of local MA beers. Any beer fan will find something they like. Food was really good. It could be me, but it is more on the healthy upscale side of things. If you’re not into that then it may not be the best place to eat. I got pita and hummus to split with friends and then the pork sandwich with greens. Value was pretty on track with most places I’ve been to like this. It’s a little pricey, but it’s what you expect when going to a place with top tier beers on tap and having a few with food. Overall one of the nicest chill places to go. I highly recommend it and I’d go again any time I decide to do a beer trip to the area.“

“Definitely the best place I visited in Massachusetts. Amazing beers on tap, including five Hill Farmsteads and Speedway Vietnamese Coffee. Also had a last taste of a Pretty Things here. Roast pork sandwich was amazing. Good service as well. They serve flights of some of their beers, though not everything is available.“

“big ice bar, crowded after work with not necessarily beer crowd. many good craft beers with rotating selection of about three ’specials’ and two casks as well as the usual turnover a 50+ tap place will have. Food is very reasonable, standard fare is solid but standard, more creative menu items (usually apps and specials) are usually very good and perfect bar fare. Fresh oysters a la carte and cheap for those who like“

“I love this place! 21 smart taps, at any given visit I want to try 19 of them, beats the hell out of searching through 50+ taps for two that are moderately interesting, food is on the money but a little overpriced even for how good it is. just a little... friendly, accessible, not overwhelming, and again, 21 taps that put the average 121 taps to shame“

“Amazing bar in a sleepy town, these are some lucky locals. 6 Hill Farmsteads on tap, along with a Fiddlehead, and tons of other rare and or great ticks. Amazingly, they offer samplers as well. This is a tickers haven, with the added bonus that the beers are amazing. The marinated olives were excellent, but a couple other dished like the turnip and wings flopped. The one marrow was good but kind of missing on the marrow. A bit pricey for the food but decent overall. Amazing beer, decent food, but a bit over priced. Drink here, eat elsewhere.“

“This is the new Wormtown taproom that’s been open for a couple of months now. Bright and clean setup in a moderate space with bar, a wall of swag and bathroom. There’s also seating outside on the patio. The brewery can be seen through the glass at the back of the bar. It was great to try the beers fresh at the source as they’re doing good things. No food available - food truck maybe? A great addition to Worcester’s beer scene.“

“Superb bar. I came by two times over a week and on my first visit they had 5 Hill Farmstead beers pouring on tap. My return visit saw two new Hill Farmstead and 2 Tree House beers on. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the selection is remarkable and good turnover sees new interesting beers regularly. Friendly bartender and patrons open to conversation. I had a pork belly sandwich that was delicious and there’s also an excellent cheese selection. A real find in the city of Worcester.“

“My first trip to Armsby was Zwanze Day 2014, it will not be my last. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and what they have in bottle and draft. The food was real pricey based on the potion. ($15.00 for seven Jerk Chicken Wings) So, I would eat before stopping back here but because of the awesome draft list and friendly service, there is a REAL good chance I will return here. Keep in mind I was here for an event so I would love to see what this place looks like on a standard Saturday afternoon.“

“Great spot overall. They have a solid range of taps with great variety; my only complaint would be that the selection of local breweries was limited to around five beers, but I think the quality and quantity of MA breweries warrants a higher allocation than that. Prices are decent. The food is excellent, and this place obviously pays very close attention to where they are sourcing their ingredients. The place itself is very clean and well laid out. The staff is courteous and efficient. This place certainly elevates beer restaurant/bar to the next level. Highly recommended.“

“Pretty cool place. It would get noticed anywhere, but definitely gets bonus points for being one of the few good places in and around Worcester. Very dark inside and a bit sparse. Feels a good bit like Lord Hobo in Cambridge. Serious tap list, knowledgeable staff.“

“Visited on a weekend before going to a Phish show at the Centrum/DCU Center. Rolled in at around noon and the place was already packed with the young urban professional Phish fans that still like to re-live their college hippie years and pretend they’re still cool. Side note: I am also one of those people. It’s tough for me to judge the average vibe of the place; when I was there it was packed, but friendly. The bartenders were busting their asses, but getting beers out efficiently, friendly, and more than happy to offer suggestions or have a quick chat about what was on tap. About 20 taps available, which included some awesome regional selections from Tree House and Jack’s Abbey, as well as some more common offerings that you’ll see all over the northeast. They seem to be the only game in town, so if you find yourself in Worcester this is the place to get a good beer.“

“A great bar-cum-restaurant in the centre of town. It was very busy when we were there and we were lucky to get a table but I can see why it’s popular - it has a very good beer list, good food and a nice atmosphere. (Visited 10 November 2012).“

“Great addition to the Worcester beer scene. This place opened shortly after I moved away. Nice place, kind of dark inside, little industrial, but pleasant color wood scheme, . Looks like 15 or so people could sit bar. Narrow table and then the dining area. Also a room in the back section that wasn’t there the first time I went here. Service has been good, but I’ve never been there when it’s been crowded. Sat at bar twice and table this last visit. Help has been good. Friendly, polite, beer knowledgable. Solid selection. Mix of American craft and Belgian. Food has been darn good . This last trip I had pork belly carbonara. Using pork belly as the noodles. Lots of season vegetables. Locally sourced stuff. Not a bargain place, could be thought of a tad high in price, but I feel like you get quality products here. I like it and would recommend if you are I the area.“

“Solid place in wooster (wuh-ster) mass, parking is a bit of a struggle which is always a frustration to me, I tried to stop here the week before but was shut out due to a pearl jam concert, bartender was friendly and pointed out the giant chalkboard of drafts, pricing is a touch high but not unreasonable, bottle selection is tough to rival but INSANELY expensive (75 to 80 dollars for 750’s of Cantillon St. Lamvinus) but I guess some people will pay, My food was okay, I had the grilled cheese with sliced apples, it was well made, but a bit lacking in the filling department. I really enjoyed that there is only 1 TV on the far side of the bar, keeps it cozy and inviting. Would definitely go back once the taps had time to rotate.“

“Nice place, easy to find and with enough parking nearby. Ambiance is good, but it was loud even if not too crowded. Very good service, friendly and helpful. Selection is pretty good with a lot of great breweries (Jack’s Abby, Tree House, Hill Farmstead). Food was really good (cheese plate and something else that I don’t remember - but it was good!). Price are on the high side, but not unreasonable. This is a must visit when in the area and it’s worth a trip just to go there. I will definitely come back.“

“I tried out this place on a weeknight, so it wasn’t too crowded. It’s a little cramped and loud, but manageable. The beers on tap were pretty interesting. The bottle list was very expensive, so I didn’t get to any of those, but there was a lot of not too common stuff on there. The food menu wasn’t long and was comprised mostly of artisinal style food (high price, small serving). It was good, but not worth the cost in my opinion.“

“I travel a lot with my job. This place has been a special treat. Only steps from my hotel, with a world class draft list. Plenty of IPA’s, Black IPA’s and Stouts. A dream come true. Couple that with great food and a great staff and that sir, is the reciepe for success. Keep doing what you are doing! This beer geek couldn’t have had a better visit!“

“Stopped in with a bus load of beer loving Mainer’s on our way home from a open house at B.United. The service was outstanding and the draft list was well thought out with something for everyone. Good locals, classic belgians and germans, and a great selection of american craft beers as well. The food was plentiful and delicious... would not go within 20 miles of this place and not stop. Must visit !“

“Armsby Abbey is in downtown Worcester and we stopped here to meet up with lushawn and his lady on our way into Boston. We had to wait a little bit for a table but they were able to move a large group to a bigger table, opening up two. The first thing that caught my eye on the menu was Hill Farmstead Ephraim. Wow. Yes, please and thank you. The tap list was not massive but all-killer-no-filler. Good mix of local, regional, national, and international tap choices. The bottle list looked ridiculous. I’m on a budget while traveling the country, so I didn’t even bother, but there are gems to be had if you are willing to spend the money. The food was good, but the menu is fairly limited. They were out of quite a few things when we were there, too. Prices are a little on the high side, but maybe that’s just my Midwestern perspective. All in all, top-notch bar in a city I might not make it back to, so I’m glad we made it in here when we had the chance. A must-visit if you’re nearby.“

“OK, so this place had an unblended Cantillon lambik on draft, the only place in the US that I’ve ever seen such a thing how cool is that? The atmosphere is also cool. The place was smaller than I expected, but the music was really good, the staff was terrific, and the tap selection Was abosultely amazing. Oh, and the food was spectacular. Definitely worth going far out of your way to find this place.“

“Fine spot in Worcester I found during The Festival. Had an absolutely superb selection of beers. Service was slightly slow, but in all liklihood this was due to the fact that the bar was absolutely slammed because of all the out of town business from The Festival. I bet on other weekends the service is much quicker. The food I tried was quite tasty and complementary of the beers on draft. I’d go back when in Worcester for sure.“
