“We had a dinner here after a tour and tasting at the brewery. The brewery tour was very informative and our guide was very enthusiastic about the brewery‘s products. The beers offered during the tasting were all decent. The food at the restaurant was really good, we had two of the fish dishes plus two children’s meals, and the service was top notch. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.“

“Now rebranded(?) As Dolden Mädel Braugasthaus Stralsund. Less beers on tap than mentioned in older revies, "only" 10 beers on tap, 8 Ratsherrn beers. Service was friendly. Prices are quite steep, especially thr bottled selection, which lists about 20/30 beers max“

“Visited in 2018. Nice ambiance for dining and a good beer. Next to that a large shop with all that Störtebeker has to offer.“

“Very large choice of beers. Around 15-20 on tap and 50-100 bottled beer. Choose your beer in glas-door fridges. A place for beer-lovers. Food is classic german brauhaus/brasserie food.“

“Visited on my way back of Rügen Island. Next to the brewery and the tastingroom, there is a shop with all the beers of the Stralsund and Störtebeker Brands, also some other German and international breweries. In my opinion, the section with the other german brews was the most interesting, found here some beers ’ve never seen before. The place is spacious and staff was friendly.“

“One of the chain of 4. This one is on the 1st floor overlooking the old fishing port and is quite trendy in the touristy area... but the beers are excellent. Beers labelled as "Fritz" (I understand they are not a brewery but have it brewed on their behalf?) Zwickel Hell Naturtrub and Zwickel Dunkel both good. I believe Ratsherren in Hamburg are now brewing themselves and this bar had their Rotbier as a guest! Served in a stemmed glass it did remind of a quality kriek!“

“Visited August 7th while leaving the island of Rügen part of a four restaurant chain linked to the brewery. Industrial scale brewery that also brews the Störtebeker beers. Restaurant on the side. Old style brewhouse inside transformed into a restaurant. Very clean inside in typical German fashion, nice décor with brewery memorabilia and other hops, etc. Friendly staff and also some nice award winning beers, four beers on draft plus the rest of the line-up in bottles. Food is of general German style, nice portions and well presented with reasonable price. Good friendly service even though we had arrived late.“

“This tourist harbour town some 240 kms north of Berlin is a gateway to Rugen Island. I wandered around town looking for "the right place" to sit down and enjoy a beer on a hot summer’s day (July 1, 2010). Torschliessenhaus was the place and Störtebeker Pils was the beer. Earlier in the day I had tried a Störtebeker 1402 kellerbier at a beer hut by the harbourfront, and was amused by the string of ads proclaiming its victory at the "Beer Cup 2010" in Chicago. Judging from the plastic cup of 1402 I tried, standards were low in Chicago that year, or possibly the only competition was from Corona or Steam Whistle. Horrors! Well, the Pils is another story. It was delicious and fresh, with a nice Pils aftertaste that didn’t make me long for some toothpaste for a change, and a bargain at 3 Euros for 0.5 litres, yes a full half litre. Nice glass too! And if you preferred a smaller size, a 0.3 glass was available for 1.90 Euros (July 2010 prices). You can enjoy it at Torschliessenhaus in a dark old woody interior, or, like me, take advantage of the very pleasant small beergarden in the back, complete with little fountain, goldfish pond, and large patio umbrellas featuring beer ads for Störtebeker and Lübzer (the other pilsener on offer here) to keep the sun at bay. Recommended.“

“A nice place right in the heart of Stralsund. Choose between the lively bar and restaurant, the cosy beer garden or the roadside seats at the market square. Local and foreign beer, skilled and attentive staff. The place can get rather lively.“
