“The new Geelong brewery has been operating the dining hall and bar as of late last year. It’s proved to be a very popular place for locals. We had a tour of the brewery which is very impressive and the site itself is massive and feels like a village in itself. The bar serves the full Creatures range, with the Pale Ale and Bright ale now brewed on site for the East coast market. The food menu is basic and the usual pizzas, sliders etc. that punters will go for to help soak up the booze. Family friendly with kids sandpit out front. They also hold a market here once a month. Nice location that breathes some much needed life into the Geelong beer scene.“

“Visited on August 2, 2013.
My mate drove there. Parking available just outside.
Picked up bottles for our trip. Got in, selected the bottles, purchased them and then out. Plenty of bottles I hadn’t tried. Decent selection.“

“Visited on August 1, 2013.
Belmont might be the actual town, but as a tourist feels like it belongs in the Geelong area still.
My mate drove there.
Plenty of local craft beer in the bottled selection. Many beers from around Geelong, Forrest, etc.
Quite a few beers and evern selections from breweries I hadn’t found on my travel so far.
Not a huge selection, but for me plenty to choose from.
Nice fast friendly service, no probelsm paying with a card. The girl helped pack my bottles in a box without me asking for it.
Plenty of parking right outside.
Can’t find their trading hours online.“

“Visited August 1, 2013.
Walked down from Irish Murphy’s, close to the center and the water.
Seemed a bit posh almost, fairly big place with a long bar, plenty of indoors seating, some outdoors seating as well. Nice view of the water.
Decent mix of craft and macro beers on the taps, a few bottles only.
Decent service, but nothing that stood out at all. A few other guests, mainly seemed to be wine drinkers though (the enemy!)
Much better chance of finding an Oz beer than at Irish Murphy’s. Still not a huge craft beer place.“

“Visited August 1, 2013.
Walked over from the train station, not a very long walk.
Not much happening on the taps, they had Guinness, Kilkenny and 5 Oz macro beers on. Not many bottles to choose from (poor selection even), in the end found a Fosters Light Ice I hadn’t rated, so yeah, I was desperate I guess.
A very nice girl worked the bar, for the most part her and me were the only ones in here, though to be honest I was there fairly early/between lunch and dinner or so.
If you’re craft beer hunting, I’d say look elsewhere.
Fairly big with plenty of indoors seating.“

“It almost has more of a club feel than a bar, but I heard the selections was one of the best in Geelong. It definately is the best I’ve seen in the city, but not great by any standards. I was able to get a few things that I’d not seen yet. The menu looked pretty good, but I didn’t try anything. I would go back based on the decent selection alone, but only to tick a few more Aussie beers.“

“First proper pub that I’ve been to in Oz. Great decor and ambiance. Had a live band play authentic music with about 20 different instruments. Had Killkenny and Guiness on the nitro tap. Other than that the selection was weak, but I think that is most places in Australia that I’ve been to. Still, I will be going back again for the feel and company of the place.“

“A nice Irish pub with live music. Gets crowded on weekends. Great bartenders, Janita and Jason.“
