“small indoor space with patio. Parking was decent. lots of taps with a focus on regional beers and national craft beer. better selection of bourbon from what I can tell. food was decent. service was efficient (I went on a busy Friday night). seems like all the tables were high tops which is not good for kids. loud.“

“I visited this place just to get some Mash Cult brews, and am glad to give this brand-new brewery some business. They appreciated my visit, and my giving them a bunch of stickers - so much that I got a free growler! Now that's what you call service. Don't let the Party City merchandise mislead you - once you find the beer, this is a great place. Fill a growler, or six - and give Mash Cult a chance.“

“So Mash Cult is in Party Town; as some have asked, it is questionable why there should be separate listings. Too me it makes sense because it is possible to review the beer store separately from the tasting bar this way. This review focuses on the growler fill station with Mash Cult beer. I am not really familiar with this kind of set up. The station is in the front near the cash registers. It was unattended when I was there, and there were glasses sitting out as well as a jar full of money. I finally got somebodies attention and asked if I could just serve myself and she seemed aghast. Needless to say somebody showed up within seconds. He was super friendly, talkative and helpful, and he patiently stayed there and chatted with me as I ran through 6 two oz sample pours for the whopping price of $1 (or 25 cents each). I wasn’t hugely impressed with the beer, but nothing was truly flawed and a couple were certainly solid. Apparently they brew one day a week on the loading dock and are still working out the kinks. Really an interesting concept. I like it.“

“This is a review for the actual store. See separate review of the pico brewery. This is your typial midwest liquor box store, plus a bunch of other party crap thrown in. Kind of a run down, a bit dirty, feel to it. Beer is straight back from the main doors. Fairly extensive coolers with a tone of singles available. Bomber are collected mostly on a single row in the back as well. Most of the other shelf space is devoted to sixers and cases. Prices seemed good. selection was pretty solid for the area, some limited stuff to be found but not a lot. There is also a growler fill / tasting bar in the front that had 20ish taps including about 8 from Mash Cult.“

“Visited late afternoon on a Thursday, before I caught a flight. Located in the front corner of the Party Town liquor store. Pretty much just a bar featuring 20 beers, 5 of which are house beers. Selection is solid, featuring many local and regional beers. Beers are available for an onsite pint or a growler to go. Not sure what the vision of this was, but there really is nowhere to hang out if you decide to order a beer. Not sure it needs its own listing as currently configured.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited late afternoon on a Thursday, before I caught a flight. Pretty dark and dingy store located in a dingy strip mall. Store setup has some local beers immediately up front as you enter, along with the full beer selection at the back of the store. Broad selection of international, national and local craft sixers and full size bottles. The back cooler houses the single selection, and it is one of the bigger single selections I have seen in the Cincinnati area. There is also a growler bar up front, and you can order pints there as well. See my rating for Mash Cult, for some reason, separate listing here on RB.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Same parking lot as Party Town. This is a growler station. You can get a sample, a pint or a growler fill. They had Mash Cult beers and others. Service was pretty good. Beer selection was pretty good. In combination with Party Town, this is an improvement.“

“This is a growler station in Party Town, not an actual place. I probably should’ve deleted this but now there are ratings accrued, so whatever. Mash Cult was supposed to open its own tap room in the back of Party Town in Summer 2016, but that never happened. This place was also supposed to allow the purchase of pints to be consumed on-site, but that hasn’t happened, either. You can just get samples there and growlers to go. At least there are a few different sizes of growlers. Prices are fine. Plenty of rotating other taps; not really guests, since it’s not really Mash Cult’s place, so to speak. It’s not very convenient to where I live or work, so I get here when I can.“

“Just a growler fill station in Party Town. Samples for 25 cents and full pints available. No seating though. Not really a place to drink but can get a pint while shopping which is a bonus.“

“Large store - kind of looks run down from the outside but nice inside. Good selection of beers with a decent growler station where you can get their Mash Cult beer as well as quite a few other local beers. Good place and not nearly as congested as closer to the river.“

“This BJ’s is located just on the fringe of the Florence Mall (Florence Y’all) in Northern Kentucky. It feels like the other BJ’s I’ve been to on the inside, with a ton of space and a corporate chain vibe, with all the amenities you’d need. They have a surprising number of house taps at any time, like 12, with a lot of guests, too. The house beer isn’t great, but at least you have a lot of choices. I didn’t eat here. Flights are reasonable. The bartender was super nice and talked for quite a while; they weren’t busy. Worth a stop for some ratings if you’re in the area. You know what you’re getting.“

“I stopped in earlier today for the first time in a number of years. Party Town is conveniently located close to the Turfway Road exit off I-75 in a small strip mall with more than ample parking, not far from Florence Mall. This is a big box beer/wine/liquor/party food/party supply store like The Party Source but smaller. The décor doesn’t match up with The Party Source (which this now-independent store was once a branch of) but I like the less crowded and less busy atmosphere. The beer selection isn’t as huge as The Party Source but it’s sizable enough, with a number of beers you won’t see at the bigger store. The prices seem to be a tad lower then the bigger store as well. Very good tap selection for growlers. This place is a little off the beaten path for me but I’m going to make an effort to stop in more often.“

“Mash Cult is a small micro locate in Party Town. Frequently(not always) a Mash Cult brew will be part of the tap list(one of 18). I’ve talked some of the people working at Party Town and was told they are planning to expand to a similar set-up as Party Source. We’ll see....“

“Original rating: March 27, 2015 - This is in Party Town, by the check out counters. currently 18 taps with two TV screens displaying the selection. Reasonable prices compared to the other party store. Guy who poured my growlers was knowledgeable and friendly. Beer selection is focused on local and seasonals.Would like to go back for tastings. New rating: 2/14/2021 - same as above, but this place now has a bar and 4-5 tables. It was nice to be able to sit and have a beer instead of having to always have to bring it home. does flights of 4 for $5. Has cocktails, bourbon, and wine as well.“

“Mash Cult is the on-site Brewery at Party Town in Florence, KY. The overall beer selection is tremendous, with, currently, one tap devoted to a rotating selection of their own in-house brews. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Worth searching out if you are in the area.“

“Their website is not as updated as The Party Source. Big easy parking lot right in front of the place. The beer is mostly along the back wall. Good selection of foreign and domestic beers. Good singles selection. Not quite as good as The Party Source, but the selection was different, so since it is so close I probably will frequent both. I was here a while and saw no employee to ask any questions back by the beer. They do have taps up front in the center with a guy there. I left happy and with several bottles.“

“Stopped in for a beer while in the area. It’s a decent little place in a strip mall with a small outdoor area. They have 10 beers on draft and some bottles too (along with a bar). I didn’t eat, but they do serve food. Then I got my check... $6+tax for a pint of Widmer Bros IPL out here at this place? What a ripoff. No wonder it was dead on a Saturday afternoon. Won’t be back.“

“This place rocks. I frequent it it at least once a month, primarily due to their growler selection. They have about 20 taps, and frequently update their website with the fine, often rare beers they get on tap. Prices are astonishingly reasonable, and will do fills for either 64, 32, or 16 oz containers. Aside from the growler station, it’s basically a big lot liquor / party store, much like Party Source in NKY, but these guys often have stuff that I don’t notice at Party Source. As a result, I’m often picking up bottles while I’m there checking out the growler station. A large selection of singles available, but the whole inventory is not available as singles (but sometimes they accommodate me if they’re feeling nice). Super good value to this place. Definitely check out their growler selection on their website, before you decide if it’s worth a visit. UPDATE 10/13/14: These guys now offer pints and half pints from their growler station that you can drink while you shop. The prices are unbelievably good: the 18 craft taps range from $1.50 - $4 a pint, and half pints are half price. Unbeatable, best value for craft beer on tap I think I’ve ever seen. Value raised a pt to 10. Also, after repeated visits, I’ve noticed the staff has way-above average service for your average big-lot liquor store. They really do seem to enjoy working here, and are always happy to help me out, and are pretty patient with me whipping out my laptop on the growler station and geeking out for an hour. Everytime. Love this place, despite the poor fluorescent-lit big-lot ambiance.“

“Typical suburban restaurant with nat’l brands and several regionals on tap, 20 typical domestic/int’l bottles. Food is standard fare, but well done. “I was struck first by the friendly atmosphere, particularly in such a large space. The house beers are decent, if not great, the food is excellent with a lot of variety, the service is reasonable, and the noise is low enough to carry on conversation. I didn’t expect to like a place with mostly its own brews, but BJ’s has won me over.“

“It’s a liquor store in a strip mall, so ambiance is pretty much a non-factor. Don’t let it fool you, though. The place is bigger on the inside, and considering the space they have a rather impressive beer selection. Apart from a variety craft brews and imports, there are six taps available for growlers. The staff has always been friendly and have asked for feedback on a couple of brews. For price, they’re slightly higher than some of the others in the area, but the extra buck a six pack costs I save in convenience (less than a mile from the house). It’s quickly become my favorite stop in the area for grabbing something to bring home.“

“First time visiting and will definitely be going back. No other place I know of in the NKY area has the variety of beers on tap and bottled. While still offering the staple swill, they put their real attention on the craft brews. They rotate their stock often from the sound of it, but tonight on tap they had offerings from DFH, Great Lakes, Founders, and Bells among others. Their bottled selection was much larger (tried some New Albanian and 3 Floyd’s). The food is a bit pricey, but good. Heartily recommend the Kentucky Egg. And it’s non-smoking, so you can enjoy the beer with out the taint of smoke.“

“This giant liquor supermarket is a good stop for beer. There are plenty of quality things available and many of them were actually fresh. There were not an abundance of rarities on the shelves, but the extensive selection is is definitely not devoid of goodies and solid, quality brews. Prices, like most places in Kentucky, are unbeatable, especially considering the lack of sales of tax on beer. There is also a great growler station. This is very much like Party Source in Bellevue, but just slightly falls short of having that selection.“

“currently has more taps than this site would indicate: I went there on 9/17/2011 and they had at least ten taps (perhaps it was for a promotion - I don’t know). Ambiance is super-liquor store with novelty hats and raunchy birthday cards. Service is nice and I’ve never needed their help, but it is available. I like the selection, even though they only have a limited selection in the beers I like. Many bottles with which to build your 4/6 pack. Walk-in cooler and plenty of chambered brews. Place could use a little reorganization/stock check.“

“Good selection of both foreign and domestic. Boasts a large selection of single bottles, both 15.9 oz and singles from six-packs. August 2014 - 16oz, 32oz, and 64oz growlers from a large selection of uncommon local and national brews. Staff is larger, and much more attentive than in the early years. Also, don’t miss the Friday Night Flights, usually featuring 8-12 samples (for $2) from a local/regional brewer. Good place“

“The staff here is incredible I have not met one that isn’t knowledgeable enough to work there. Growler station is awesome, and their friday beer tastings for $2.00 you can taste 8-10 different beers and then all 14 beers on the growler line. Also sometimes owners of breweries supposedly set up there and have something really special for people if they happen to be there.“

“Party Town is a bit of a hike for me since I’m in Cincinnati and I’ve got to go a lot farther than The Party Source to get there. However, the 14-tap growler station has made multiple trips worthwhile. The place is in a dumpy strip mall and is disorganized and not well-kept on the inside. Stray bottles make finding particular things tricky sometimes. It’s got a ton of them, though, but still not as many as Party Source. The prices are almost identical at the two stores, but on recent Bell’s six packs, Party Town has been cheaper. The real gem here is the growler station. I’m told the 14 taps came from a recent 7-tap expansion. I filled up 3 growlers of FFF Behemoth and 1 growler of Dreadnaught for recent trades. They also had regionals from Kentucky (Bourbon St. Matthews went to another trade), and stuff from Goose Island, DFH, Bell’s, Founders, Brooklyn (Manhattan Project!), and more. The prices for these ranged from surprisingly low to completely fair. For this station alone, PT is worth the trip from anywhere in the Cincinnati area. Just as an aside, the staff is helpful, and the younger guys tended to be a lot more gung-ho and friendly, and even better at filling up growlers. An older guy helped me out once and was kind of rude and didn’t even fill it to the top.“

“Having been down to Party Source plenty of times, this was my first trip to this location. The selection seems pretty similar between the two, but I was there for the growler fills which didn’t disappoint. There are definitely some nice shelf aged finds to made here. “Party Town is an absolutely wonderful place. I actually feel really grateful to be able live only about 10 miles from one of the best liquor stores in the country. There are lots and lots of microbrews and imports to choose from, arranged by country of course, lots of gifts, candles, cheeses, and of course wine (ehhh).
