“Great shop just west of OCMD. Nice ‘biance for a bottle shop. Lots of bottles though nothing crazy. Decently well curated. Don’t know of a better shop within 20 miles. Prices are typical.“

“It was close by our Hampton Inn. We got a nice window table. A great DNEIPA! A good French Dip. They had a good selection of beer... I think. I scanned the code for the beer menu and was only through the IPAs when the waitress came by and I wanted a NEIPA anyways.“

“Ambiance was pretty cool. Right on the boardwalk, nice view of the beach. Half a dozen picnic tables outside, a small bar inside. Service was slow, bored, and desultory. Selection was about six taps but unfortunately the beers were not very good. Tried four and one was ok. It wasn't that I didn't care for the style, I like all four styles I tried, it was that three of four were poorly executed. Food was subpar bar fare. Can't beat the view!“

“Great location right on the boardwalk and a cool atmosphere inside with a nano brew sculpture. Prob 50gal pots and maybe couple bbl fermenters. Small intimate interior and right up amount the brew equipment. Beer however was nothing impressive. Had a handful of different styles. What I had was drinkable as a taster but I wouldn’t want to drink much more. The beers would need to drastically improve before I would return.“

“Came here on 30.9.2018. A really positive surprise on the boardwalk of Oceancity. Expected a very commercial place, but found a a small brewpub with a nano brewhouse and a quite distinct atmosphere. The beers were more than drinkable - had the Saison and the Pumpkin. Food was very good - had the beef tacos. Service was attentive and Ben had good conversations. Do not like Oceancity at all, but if you are here you should come to this place.“

“OK, so we go into this easy to find place, with lots of parking, at the south end of ocean city, and ask where we find Fin Beers. They say you mean Sneaky Pete’s and they direct us out of the main building to this pier out back sticking out into assawoman bay. We walk to the end of the pier, which by the way has no hand rails, and there is this open air bar thing happening on top of planks that you can see the ocean saltwater thru large slats on the floor. The picture above is actually standing at the end of the pier, where Sneaky Pete’s is located, looking back at the main building. Lots of people having fun at this place on a sunny Friday afternoon. Don’t drop any thing here, it will fall thru the cracks into the bay! I ask the barmaid, who was wearing some really short shorts, for some samples of Fin city and she promptly fixes me up with a flight or 4 for $8, nice. Got good sized samples. Very nice atmosphere on a hot sunny day looking over the bay, you are actually only 20 foot off the water on stilts. Beers had no descriptions except for the name and, the bartender could care less about the difference between the styles. I think she even got a few of them mixed up. Good thing I can tell the difference between a wit and a IPA, heheh! This place is a real sailor’s hangout, tuff sailors. When I saw one of the drinks come back because it had a small bug floating in it, the barmaid promptly flicked the bug out with her fingers and gave it back to him. Then he promptly drank it, blinked his eye and ordered another! Impressive, made me want to get a bug in my beer! Overall really cool place to sample beers. Make sure you ask to go to the Sneak Pete’s Fishermans pier out back where they serve the Fin beers. They also have a bar inside the main building but I’m not talken about that place, it wasn’t manned when we got there.“

“On the boardwalk around 10th Street. No parking anyplace, we took the beachbus to get there from another location. Was seated outside on a rough picnic table, my wife refused to get her cloths dirty by sitting at the table, but there was a bar inside. Friendly and surprisingly not real crowded on a sunny Saturday afternoon.Cool dude with beard served us, I suppose he was one of the brewers. Good overall beer tasting experience. Flights arrived on a skate board and the samples were pretty large, about 6 ounces. Tasted all 6 of their beers for a cool $12, not bad for the boardwalk. Except for the wifey gettin pissed about the crude seating, I had a good time here. And hey, its on the boardwalk, what else can be said?“

“New place in West Ocean City, opened this past June. 24 taps & only 1 swill! Rest are rotating micro’s! Nice selection, EVO, DFH, Southern Tier, Sierra Nevada, Ommegang, had about all you can get in this area. 8 flat screens f/sports, good size bar, & decent pub grub. Haven’t had the pizza yet, but it looked/smelled good. Place looks like it’s off to a good start, they plan to expand in the spring w/an upstairs area including a rooftop, outdoor deck! Good to see another beer destination in OC! *** Updated 5/17*** Bumped up to 54 Taps a couple years ago, may have the best beer selection in Ocean City! Plenty of Flat Screens, Good Pizza, Cool Rooftop Tiki Bar, & KILLER Meatballs!!!“

“Being able to sit outside on the boardwalk with a view of the ocean is a huge plus for this place. The beers were decent, but nothing exceptional. The prices were a bit rich, but the cost of an ocean front location probably has something to do with that. I had some fish tacos that had loads of ahi tuna and worth every penny. Overall I very nice stop.“

“Nice place on the boardwalk of Ocean City. Sit out on the patio, drink beer and watch bikinis walk by. Ambiance a perfect 5 on that note.. Good prices, and friendly staff. Beer was variable, and with some work could be improved a little. They did better on basic styles than higher alcohol versions. They serve everything in a sample flight skateboard, which is novel.“

“Half hearted effort as a local pizza joint offers an improved beer selection in a resort town. Atmosphere consists of a sterile dining area attached to a carry out, where a small bar sits opposite some community tables and a few booths. The beer selection isn’t bad, including one that was new to me, but the only person serving it was a clueless, inexperienced waitress with a fragile understanding of English. Food did not stray from a selection of pizzas and subs. Best not to judge their other location in Ocean City based on what goes on here. There is a Greene Turtle right next door if you need an attitude readjustment “

“Stopped by in early December. Plenty of parking! Clean, well lit bar was surprisingly busy for the time of year. Locals i presume? Nice tap selection though nothing really interesting. The Assawoman beers are what i stopped in for as the brewery/restaurant was closed at that time. Had the Assawoman IPA which was fairly bland and a free sample of their Porter which was nice. The bartender was efficient and friendly. Liked talking beer and some of the local goings on. Worth a stop if yer in the neighborhood.“

“Very nice restaurant on the bay side in Ocean City. The views are spectacular and lots of nice beer on tap and bottles. The food was pretty mediocre in the ’fine dining’ section and they blast the music during sundown. Perhaps better to stay in the bar.“

“Huge wine store and tasting area along the Ocean CIty strip with a decent selection of beers, many very good ones. I liked the mix and match and picked up 12 beers at a quite expensive $45.“

“Huge place on the bayside, just before the bridge entering Ocean City. Inside and outside seating. Inside was on two levels, filled with a lot of kitsch that seems to work for families and large groups. Good food selection, mostly seafood; not cheap, but not super expensive. Crabs seemed like the big draw, though we chose other options. Fin City, the brewery associated with the restaurant, makes a few fairly good beers, but the best were not available the night we were there. Note: they will offer you a stadium cup with half price refills, but I would steer clear. The plastic distracted from the taste, and when you want a refill, tracking down the waiter can be a challenge. Speaking of service, it’s middle-of-the-road. Not terrible but you won’t get a warm and fuzzy feeling. There is a bar adjacent to the dining room where maybe things are a little better. Is it worth a visit? Maybe for the food, but not for snuggling up with your favorite brew.“

“Tucked away in a strip shopping center in north Ocean City. Interior had the warm feel of wood and soft lighting, with a large bar next to tables and booths. Other strengths include some really good food, including a killer crabcake, and decent prices. But if you want some good beer, you’re in the wrong place. Had to settle for a Sam Adams Ofest as the only craft selection. The other turnoff was the service. Bartender was abrupt, with little interest in taking our food or drink order. Locals rule here and his focus was on them. Not sure why this place is on RateBeer. It is a Redskins bar, catering to locals who love their Bud. OCMD was once a craft beer wasteland but now there are dozens of places to satisfy your cravings.“

“A large pizza joint/sports bar with a pretty good beer list. They offered an ’all you can eat’ pizza and wings special but our server seemed to have a hard time remembering that we had ordered, though she was fairly friendly. Their service is going to have to be better than this during tourist season or they’ll be closed soon, which is too bad because they may have the best beer selection in town.“

“A nice brewery on the boardwalk with some outdoor seating and small amount of indoor seating though there is a larger area for the on season guests. There were a handful of beers available during our visit including some seasonals. The one employee was sufficient to keep all the patrons tended.“

“The tap house is located next to Assawoman Brewing and serves their beers alongside a few other local and regional selections. The TVs were all tuned to NFL games on this lazy Sunday afternoon. We sampled a few brews and a couple of appetizers. Our server came by often to check on us but it still seemed like it took a while to finally leave.“

“This looked like THE neighborhood pizzeria, in a sea of pizzerias. We visited on a winter Sunday when the football fans were the dominant group and at least four different games were shown on the TVs scattered everywhere. The all-you-can-eat wings and pizza for ten bucks seemed like a good deal until we discovered we only got two rounds of pizza in two hours, and server forgot our second round of wings. The pizza was OK, though. Beer list was large and pretty decent; flights of five are available, although the server didn’t know it because apparently no one ever ordered flights. We did, of course, and it turned out fine. Like several other places we visited, though, we were left wondering how places like this handle summer crowds if the service is this slow in the winter? I hope I never find out.“

“This was a pleasant surprise. Right on the boardwalk sandwiched among kitschy souvenir and T-shirt shops and small tourist hotels. There was a nice wooden patio, so you could hang out and watch the surf as you sipped surf-themed beers. Inside was divided into two parts, the larger of which was closed for the winter when we visited. The smaller part was just a very small bar and a few stools, very dark. Clientele was all local, including a few tour guide types, so that’s a good sign in itself. Barman was friendly and engaging, and service was good. Beers were all pretty tasty and creative, even though they could probably get away with serving only bland blonde beers given their location. Flights are available, served on a skateboard/mini-surfboard. Definitely worth a visit, depending on what the crowds are like in the summer (something I hope I never experience).“

“This is a corner bar among several other restaurants with a big parking lot in the center. The big plus was that they had half a dozen or so Assawoman beers on tap - Assawoman (AW) was closed for the winter when we visited, so this served the purpose. Other than that, it was a bit disappointing. Selection was large, but little else remarkable other than AW. When one of the AW beers wasn’t available the server substituted Kona Bikini Blonde on my flight without consulting me - a real service no-no, especially since I had just threatened bodily harm to any others in our group who ordered the Bikini blonde. Oh well. Server did make up for it by giving us a free sample of some other AW beer. Food was sort of mass-produced pub grub, unexciting.“

“Pizza restaurant/sports bar with a good selection of craft beer on draft. Flights available in sets of 5 taster glasses. Mostly sports fans and macro drinkers here. They had an all you can eat cheese pizza and wings special for $10 when we went on Sunday. The catch is you only get two slices per person at a time and the wings are made after the pizza comes out. Add slow and forgetful service and it was not as great a deal as it sounded, at least from this experience. Pizza was fine but nothing to write home about, wings were pretty good though. Friendly waitstaff but not too knowledgeable on the beer. An okay stop service issues aside.“

“Small brewpub by the ocean boardwalk. Patio seating outside with a handful of bar seats inside. Interesting surf/skate sort of look. Six of their house brewed beers available in pints or flights of six tasters. Friendly service and knowledgeable bartender. Didn’t try the food. Worth a stop if in the area.“

“Decent place near First Street down in OC. Nice selection of house brews and other local stuff. They have a sampler which was nice. Had a food menu but I didn’t try anything. The place was strangely empty at 4:00 on a Saturday. Unfortunately one of the other bar patrons was clearly over served and was making no sense. The staff was friendly but made some glaring errors about the beers (lagers and ales don’t use different kinds of wheat). Decent prices for the area.“

“Nice ambience with a bar area and also a sitting area if you want to eat. The beer selection is small - about 100 if that, but some intersting brews. On top of that, a nice wine selection as well. A bit pricey, but you’re in a tourist area.“

“Had lunch there today. Well, at the side bar since the main restaurant didn’t serve lunch until after 1 PM. Inside and outside sitting. Service was a bit flow and all beers are served in plastic cups. That being said, plenty to chose from - about 30 taps. A little pricey though, but you’re in a tourist area.“

“Was drawn by the lure of 36 beers on tap. Too bad they were pretty much the standards. I did get a Heavy Seas Peg Leg, (beer snob alert) which was served in a Miller Lite pilsner glass, as were all of the beers. The server was very nice, but knew nothing about the beers that were offered. Food was meh. For 4 of us, the bill was $75+, and there were only 3 beers involved. Avoid.“

“Best tap selection in Ocean City, Great location right on the Bay. Outdoor Tiki Bar in the summer, great sunsets, decent Pub Grub. Can get a little crowded in the summer and the prices reflect the resort, but that’s anywhere in OC proper. I try & go during shoulder season or off season, they are open year round. Can’t believe I haven’t rated this place, I’ve been here a dozen times....guess if you are the Mayor you better make sure you rate it! Fixed!“

“Another addition to the growing craft beer scene in Ocean City. Sister location of the 9th St Taphouse, with a larger selection, better hours, and better parking. Great, attentive, knowledgable service (at least at the bar). Local beers including Burley Oak, Evolution, St Michaels, 16 Mile and Dogfish were well represented. Food was above average for pub grub. Just remember that it is a resort town, so things are going to be a bit pricier than the local pub.“

“This place is a combination bistro and beer store. I didn’t eat, but the food looked good and appears to be a little upscale. This place has a decent selection considering it’s the beach including a bunch of Stillwaters. They also have singles available which is a nice change. Staff were friendly, asking if I need any help. The place was clean and well lit. Prices lean a little on the high side, but it is the beach. It probably has the best selection I’ve seen in OC. Worth a stop if you are in need of something decent.“

9th Street Taphouse (Restaurant)

“Opened this spring just off the Boardwalk in Ocean City & owned by the same family as the 11th Street Taphouse in Virginia Beach. This place is more casual, several flat screens for sports, 1 pool table, nothing fancy but enjoyable. Had a few taps w/swill (it is in a tourest hotel), but mostly Crafts, EVO Seasonal (Jacques Au Lantern), Heavy Seas, Dogfish, Breckenridge, New Belgium, good selection for Ocean City in the off season. Food was good, had a tasty Crab Cake. Service was excellent, but it was a slow November night in the off season, don’t know how they would keep up in season when a lot of people down here can’t. This was my first visit, as I rarely come over the bridge into the resort in season, and I enjoyed this place, I will be back. Good to know there is FINALLY a true beer destination in Ocean City Proper!“

“Not a place to go for beer, but the food was EXCELLENT!!! Once of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Also, crab dip was out of this world. Great bargain on food. Dinner for four with many beers was $52. As the bartender said, People ask if we have microbrews. I tell them no, but we do have Natty Boh. That should tell you about the beer selection. But I would go everyday if I lived here, just for the food. Well, being a B’more boy, I am loyal to Mr. Boh.“
