76 /100 Beef & Brew (Restaurant) 293 S MAIN S Last summer my wife and I stopped in here while visiting Hobart college. Nice old place kept up. The sandwiches we had were good. My wife had wine and I had a local flight of beer that was good. |
92 /100 570 SNELL RD Many friends have told me to come here, that I'd love the place, sure enough it was true. Great Belgian classics in a great venue. Talking to the staff you can tell they really care. Will get back to try the food. |
72 /100 570 SNELL RD Stopped in after lunch Friday for a couple. 1st off, very impressive building. Everything nice, new and clean. The owners welcomed us in and told us of the history of the place. They had about 8 of their Beers on tap. I really enjoyed the stout. Nice outside seating area. |
78 /100 Beef and Brew Pub (Restaurant) 293 MAIN ST. My wife and I had lunch there today. Very attentive servers. Nice old place kept up well. Food was very good. Good selection of beers. I have 4 quality NEIPAs. I was happy! |
72 /100 796 PRE EMPTION RD A big open room, with seating outside too. A large wide variety of beer. We enjouyed what we had. Staff was very enthusiastic and friendly. Off 5 and 20, a bit outside of the main town, more in the new town commercial district. We thought it was worth a stop and will be back. |
80 /100 495 EXCHANGE ST, We were wowed by the beauty of this place, a former movie theater from the glory days of movie theaters, with much of that history preserved within. Spacious place indoors, and some outdoor seating. Bartender was knowledgeable about the beers and food, lots of beer choices. What we had was good. |
64 /100 623 LERCH ROAD Eclectic, but theme driven. Well thought out and well organized. Spacious enough to handle larger crowds than most The War Horse Brewery really has a military theme that will appeal to veterans. I had a Royal Kilt Inspector Scotch Ale. It had hints of caramel and good malts, no head and little lacing. For $7 I got to keep the nice glass. |
82 /100 16 EAST CASTLE STREET This place has a great vibe, a bit small, superb sound system, racks of vinyl, and a turntable playing pristine vinyl oh wait this is a beer rating. Bartender had a bit of a tude but that added to the charm. She knew her stuff and offered samples. Beer was great. Will be back. |
68 /100 623 LERCH ROAD Quite an extensive operation. Bartenders very helpful, cider on draft as well as the beer. Wine in a different area. Food is supposed to be decent, though we did not have it. Pints or flights are available. I would go again. |
70 /100 4200 RTE 14 Patty and I stopped there over the holiday weekend as soon as they opened. So we had plenty of fast service. Enjoyed our drinks on the patio over looking the lake. There were enough beer choices for the stop. Patty enjoyed the wine and bought a bottle. |
92 /100 16 EAST CASTLE STREET ---Rated via Beer Buddy for Android |
64 /100 4200 RTE 14 Nice view of the lake from the brewery side. Served me with beer tasting and Anne with wine tasting side by side. Knowledgeable on both. Brewery is new, just this year. Growlers only, and no glasses, just tastings. May come back with a growler. Like the vibe, the German styled beers, and the wine. |
80 /100 Beef and Brew Pub (Restaurant) 293 MAIN ST. Driving thru early on a Tuesday afternoon with the wife and looking all around town. I drove past this place and when you smell something good...investigate. I had a few local taps i had never had at really good prices and some very good food. They have an extensive enough bottle list and at least 15 good taps. The place is eclectically elegant and the staff on the two times i ate there were spot on and acted like they like what they do. Kind of surprised it wasn’t here already! If you’re up there you really want to check this place out! |
64 /100 4200 RTE 14 A winery that contracts some beers and distributes ciders. Looks like a huge winery showroom with some bad swag added as a poor afterthought. Service was clueless and had more to say about her life than the beer, it seemed like a lifetime to get the beers and leave. Sample flights available for cheap and beer was pretty good. A good stop if you have the patience. |
64 /100 623 LERCH ROAD A large winery that has diversified into coffee and beer. A tourist trap and they make no bones about it. Tasting is a fiasco, where samples are 3 for 3$ but you have to sit and listen to the spiel and they serve in glass. If you just want to sit with a flight it is 5 for 10$ which is ridiculous and they have the stupidity to serve in plastic cups. When I said I wanted to try everything it created such a problem that we almost walked out. Beers are average although the sour was good. Ciders were horrible and sweet. Horrible but a tick is a tick. |
66 /100 623 LERCH ROAD Home of War Horse Brewery. Capable beers especially for the area. Bartender seemed confused. Flights in plastic cup if you don’t sit at the bar. |
64 /100 4200 RTE 14 Visited during a rain storm. Service was painfully slow on the beer side. They are more focused on wine. Beers were better than most in the area though. |
80 /100 16 EAST CASTLE STREET A rather nifty little place in the hearth of Geneva. I gather their brewing operation isn’t fully online, but presently their tap range is filled with local NY breweries. Good value, friendly service. They offer flights, which is great. The crowd was mostly Hobart & William Smiith students during my visit. This place also sometimes has live music in the back. A really solid spot to drink local beers. |
