| 60 /100 Valley Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 193 MAIN ST “This is a small little comfy very classy wine place off the main drag in wintersville. It was a blizzard this day. Two girls inside well dressed and friendly knew lots about their fairly small high quality wine selection. In the back room tho is the beer thing happening. A few coolers of beer singles and quite a few bombers. Had a pretty good selection and I was able to locate a few local beers that I was seeking. Not bad overall but not a real big room of beers. Prices were well marked and the they were very affordable. Its nice getting out of PA to places over the border that are priced reasonably. Glad I stopped. Found a few beers there I never tasted.“ |
| 68 /100 Ruff Creek Markets (Grocery Store) 620 MAIN STREET “Make no mistake, this is a gas station & convenience store, you can even drive thru and pick up some groceries or beer if you want. Inside there is a deli fry food counter. Smelled good but didn’t buy any food here. Everybody seemed to be quite friendly and happy and the customers were many waiting for the food. Now the beer: They have a half dozen of coolers in there and one or 2 is stocked with decent craft and import singles. You can put together a sixer for $10, nice deal. The rest of the sixpacks are nicely priced as well. Of course there is the macro stuff in there and a few shelves of cheaper wine too. Overall, better than expected. I wasn’t expecting much but I’m glad I stopped. I easily found a sixpack of beers I never tasted before. In an area that has few if any decent beer singles, this is a little gem for the beer taster.“ |
