“Interesting, circular building, near downtown Castle Rock. Big, open space, with a friendly bar area. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and the owner dropped in later, and was friendly as well. The tap list is nicely varied, with a lot of obscure styles and oddities, which I enjoy. The prices are quite high, though, with a 10 oz. pour going for $8. Still, a fun stop.“

“Came because it's in the ground floor of my brother's condo complex. Huge place. Beers on tap were typical. Food was pretty good. Probably the best stop if in Castle Rock for beer.“

“Set in an old house...sort of. Beer was very mediocre, but a nice patio area to sit. One of those places that if in Castle Rock you'll visit since 4 breweries are all within a 5 minute walk of each other but certainly wouldn't come if I wasn't in Castle Rock. Smelled funky inside. Just really average at best.“

“A block off Main Street in Castle Rock, and within site of Wild Blue Yonder Brewing. The place is a bit smaller than the other Castle Rock breweries, and the beer is average. Friendly staff, and food trucks rotate through.“

“What a welcome addition to Castle Rock's southern Main Street! The beers are always solid, because it is Great Divide. The food is top notch. Unfortunately, it is a noisy place and the staff is hit-or-miss on attentiveness.“

“One of Castle Rock's best breweries, and a fun place to hang out with other people's dogs (since I don't have a dog). The beers are always solid and the staff quite friendly. A diverse food truck rotation keeps fresh food on hand for your visit.“

“A welcome addition to downtown/Main Street Castle Rock. They took over what appears to be a couple of houses and created a fantastic spot for indoor or outdoor drinking and dining. The brewery is right there with you near the bar, and the back dining area is large, and a particular gift on sunny days. The food is pretty damn good, though the names have become a bit gimmicky. Solid beers.“

“In a strip mall right off the interstate. A little hard to find, since it is tucked away a bit. They had just opened their expansion, so the space is quite large, and seemed excessive to me, but it was a Monday. The bartender was quick enough, but seemed preoccupied with his regulars. There are a ton of taps, and a cooler of cans to-go. This is a fun spot, with some quite tasty beers.“

“Large restaurant and bar in the bottom of a downtown apartment block. Modern and industrial vibe. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. The beer list has a couple interesting things, but generally it is just the standard Great Divide offerings. The food I saw looked pretty tasty. The beer prices are a little egregious. Overall, a chill spot.“

“Not far off I-25 in downtown Castle Rock. Probably around 16 of their own beers on tap, a few more in the fridge. Everything ranged from good to very good, nice diversity of styles (nothing too crazy, but enough for most any palate). Again, proximity to Denver makes it tough to stand out, but worth visiting if you're at all close to Castle Rock.“

“As prior reviewer noted, this is in the middle of nowhere (I was pretty sure Google Maps was taking me somewhere to dump my body in a pond). Once there, the space is nice - some outdoor space, spacious indoors, just the right amount of light. Beer was decent. Nothing spectacular, nothing actively bad. Stouts were a bit thin, lagers clean but a little uninteresting. I would not go out of your way to go here, but if you wind up here, it's a fine place (and their logo is pretty cool).“

“COVID times so keep that in mind. It's in a strip mall like so many Denver-area craft breweries. Was there when they had some of their birthday brews on tap. Solid scottish ale / red which would've been better served warmer and a very good boozy and hoppy as hell IPA. Worth a stop if you really need a beer between Denver and Colorado Springs.“

“I just happened across this place while driving through town. That's when it hit me that the number of breweries had suddenly more than doubled in sleepy Castle Rock. Wild Blue Yonder went through the extra trouble to have a kitchen which is rare. The food was very good too. The brewhouse itself has a small capacity, looks like it may even be 3 barrel, but its setup looks very friendly to work with. They're cranking out a decent variety of styles back there. There wasn't anything too adventurous the list certainly isn't too narrow. The beer we had was pretty decent, maybe just some mild fine tuning could be used as far as fermentation in the yeast forward styles. There were no real problems with the beer though. The taproom itself is cozy with some really cool decor and just a couple not so cool art pieces snuck in. The back yard is where it's at. I'd recommend a moment of Zen out there.“

“This is probably the most difficult brewery to find in Castle Rock. It's deep within a warehouse complex. They've done well with their space and there were a decent amount of drinkers here even on a Monday afternoon. It definitely feels like Castle Rock in here with American flag logos and classic rock aplenty. The interior is clean and slick though. Service was very friendly. The tap list spanned a good variety of styles and what we had was solid. The brewery scene has exploded in this little town and it seems that the newcomers are doing it right.“

“Visited December 2018. Located in a strip mall not too far off of I-25, this brewery feels “Colorado” with its wood clad walls, reclaimed wood of course. The servers were quick and seemed to know many patrons. We enjoyed the beers and took some from the large cooler in the back home with us. Outside food is welcome and they have a small patio.“

“This is a giant liquor superstore. Most of the stuff you're gonna want is in the walk in cooler. Nearly everything is refrigerated which is nice, also it's gonna need it because some bottles sit here for a really long time.“

“Small to medium sized brewery with bar seating, a few high tables, a few picnic tables and a small patio. Nice ambiance, good music and great service from the beertender. I tried 4 of their 16 draft beers, most of which were above average for Denver area breweries. $2-3.5 for tasters and $5-8.5 for full pours. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.“

“I haven’t stopped in Castle Rock in quite a while. I guess there are two more breweries here now to add some variety around Rockyard Brewing. 105 West is the more experimental, modern operation. They’re located in a strip mall near I-25 and just a couple blocks from downtown. The taproom really makes me feel like I’m in a mountain town. It’s rustic with wooden everything and wildlife themed decor. The patio is pretty cool. The little fire pits surrounded by wooden stumps are a nice touch. The tap list is a good mix of American and Belgian styles with a handful of adjunct forward beers to keep things interesting. If you find yourself in Castle Rock, seems like here and the Crow Bar are must stops for beer lovers.“

“Excellent, patient, informative, kind service. I dig their sign in the front entrance. They have a few patio tables, chairs and sunbrellas right by the street. Five rotating taps and some cans and bottles in the self-service cooler. No distribution license, so no takeout. Coffee and good popcorn are available too.“

“I stopped here on the way back to Denver just to grab some coffee. I did not realize this was going to be such a beercentric place. The small cooler stocked with Paradox, Hall, Dry Dock and a few others caught my eye as soon as I walked in. Then the massive amount of past tap handles hanging from the ceiling sealed the deal. This coffee shop has a hip, relaxing vibe with local art inside, a couch and a small patio out front. The barista/bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. There were only five taps on, but it was all very high quality stuff. Proper glassware is used for the beer too. Past beers included BCS, Green Flash, Trinity and many, many others. They apparently get some rare stuff in from time to time. This week they are having a beer dinner featuring Empyrean Brewing. I didn’t even know their beer was available in the state. The food menu is limited to a few simple items, probably just to have something available to go with the drinks. Really cool place.“

“This is a huge brewpub with a lot of emphasis on the restaurant portion. The ambiance is very stock. Food looked pretty tasty but we did not eat on this visit. The beer was passable and they actually put a little effort in. They had a bourbon barrel stout on and a chile beer and even a cask gotlandsdricke coming. Service was good, but they definitely are more restaurant/sports bar focused. Decent stop.“

“Much like a chain brewpub nice looking place and large. Really only their brews for options. Burger was fine. Fries very good. Had sampler. The lighter beers and Scottish ales were fine. Stout and ipa below average. Good service“

“Box box burbs...worth stopping if you have time and are passing through. Agree that the singles are the best thing. I don’t think they have a huge craft beer audience in town...which means you can find aged stuff that has probably been sitting on the shelves and is ready to drink...case in point, I got a couple Uinta Labyrinths with 18 months on them and some Old Dubh 12 year from ’09 (seen this at other big box in the area, so I think the distributor dumped them). If you are selective about getting stuff that can age this is great, b/c they aren’t stored poorly.“

“A massive liquor store not far from the outlets. It’s very clean and bright and airy and they also have bathrooms which is not necessarily the norm. They definitely focus on wine first, Liquor second(Check out the 2,000 dollar bottles of cognac) and beer comes 38th. They have a lot of local stuff, it is Colorado after all, with a few Belgians and English imports. They really push the BMC in their displays. It’s amazing how much space they devote to them. Some of the prices are random. They had a bomber of Rockyard beer for $35 which surely is a joke. The best part is their make your own sixer coolers which has a lot of local crafts for only $9.99. This place could have an amazing beer selection if only they had amazing beer drinkers to support it.“

“massive room with 20-25 foot ceilings and lots of stone and flat screen tv’s. They had 9 beers available and judging by the laminated menu they don’t rotate very often. With the exception of the Oktoberfest, the beers were mediocre at best. A lot of their bigger beers flavor faded quickly. I witnessed some horrendous service at bar from a "bartender" who literally knew nothing about the beers. A patron asked her if they had anything like a pilsner or a lager. She hands the guy the laminated sheet and walks away. But this is the wilds of Castle Rock, what else is there out here, so the place was packed. Definitely don’t need to make a trip out to this place.“

“As others have mentioned, a big chain brewpub look. TONS of large groups of 6-10 and families with kids. Since we were only two, we were seated imemdiately at a small table. I was impressed how the staff was really hustling to bus tables and get everyone seated and fed. We had a sampler and surprisingly all eight beers, the usual brewpub styles with cheesy names and served in little snifters, were pretty damn good. Not great, but solid and tastier than those from any chain. My faves were the Hopyard IPA (duh) and the "Old Dutch" American lager (another surprise). The pub grub was also good and filling. It’s not a cozy place, or somewhere you can talk beergeek with the brewer, but overall a whole lot better than I expected.“

“Seems very much like a chain brewpub. I had the bourbon stout, the ipa, and the anniversary ale. The anniversary ale was probably the best, but definitely nothing amazing. The two other were average. I ate the brewery pretzels and they were good. If you live here stop in, but otherwise keep driving to springs or denver.“

“Big Rock Bottom-like brewery/restaurant. For the most part, the beers were mediocre. The food was typically American stuff- burgers, Mexican, and steaks and was average. When I visited, they had five beers on tap and another three bottles for to go purchase. I also found a couple others not available here at the neighboring liquor store.“

“The best part of this place is the mixer sixer selection. I believe there was 3-4 coolers full to choose from, though they do currently cost $9.99 which is a bit on the high side. The warm bottled selection is somewhat large but not all that exciting. There are a couple of gems that I found there that have been sold out in Denver for a while. I probably won’t be back except to pick up Rockyard beers that are out at the neighboring brewpub.“

“Stopped in here after outlet shopping across the street - yes, I shop at outlets - don’t judge me! - anyway, huge liquor depot, as is common in the burbs of the metro area - selection is similar to Argonaut in Denver - good selection of local and regional craft - the mix a six selection is fairly massive - decent Scandinavian import selection ( Mikkeller, Nogne) but the British, Belgian and German imports are a bit lean - prices are excellent - many craft six packs are about a buck cheaper than anywhere in or near Denver - a few Rockyard brews, I guess since they share a parking lot - not a place to make a trip for, but wort popping in if you are over this way, if only to find a good price on something.“

“wide selection. they have some Shelton Brothers imports that I didn’t see in Boulder or Denver, but some of them were very old, some more than two years. they score points for pulling them, and for having the bombers stored in the dark cooler in the first place. I’d like to see that more often.“

“This is a massive liquor store. Insane wine selection. They have a really nice beer selection with almost all of their beer in coolers. Have all the major Colorado brands plus Lost Abbey, Stone, Mikkeller, Nogne, Russian River, Full Sail and many others. What makes this place great is the massive singles selection. Basically anything that is in six packs is also available as singles, and they are in a cooler spanning 4 doors. They have a bunch of tap handles on the was so I they might have bar to. I was on lunch so I just stopped in really quick. They have a nice glassware section to. They had these 3 Philosophers mini wine glasses that I would buy if I did not have to fly home. Great store and right off the highway.“

“The store is huge but not too huge by Colorado standards. They seem to focus heavily on wine but do sport a fair and somewhat above average beer selection. However, you have come this far, so visit a store with an even better selection in Denver/Boulder/Loveland/Ft. Collins.“

“Entirely average brewpub, both in food and beer. The IPA was good, if nothing special. Had a couple other beers but nothing really stood out. It’s rather large so it can certainly get noisy. I’d go back if the group picked it but overall, it wouldn’t be my choice.“

“Large and well lit but reminded me of a chain sportsbar. The service was a bit slow considering I sat at the bar and they were’nt busy. I ordered a taster tray and they were short 1 beer but it was still full price and the bartender would’nt even give me an extras of one of the beers to make it up. Did’nt bother trying the food so I can’t say how they are in that department. The selection of beers was average with 6 choices. All mediocre with the exception of there IPA. Nothing special in my opinion.“

“Nice building located near The Outlets at Castle Rock. The inside is noisy and you have to walk through the smoking section to get to a non-smoking seat. They had 7 house beers available, none were exceptional. The service could have been a little better. The food is typical American restaurant fare; although, the Cream of Jalapeno soup was very good.“

“Atmosphere is nice, although it can get loud in there when it’s busy. And it is a family-oriented place, so at times little ones run to and fro. Selection is nice (at least 6 to 8, if not many more on tap). Quality is good (mostly mainstream styles, average or above average), with some jewels on tap (like Hopyard). I’ve driven 45 minutes to my south just to drink and eat there. I guess that says something about the place.“
