“12 taps (1 guest cider). Flights of 4 beers. Good atmosphere and food. Beers are above average. Nice couple hours if you can spare the time to take the ferry across the River in the summer.“

“Yes, big bonus is the location, more so the view. Place itself was large a bit dated pub. Service was decent. Beers were just OK so was food. It feed us but nothing spectacular.“

“Visited on a saturday afternoon. Just a few meters away from La Boîte à Malt and about 5 minutes from highway 20. Medium and clean beer store. Everything is well presented, most of the hoppy stuff is kept in frigdes. Service seems to be knowledgeable but was extremely annoying when I visited. Three different persons came to "help" me and all of them looked pissed when I said I didn’t need any help. From what I saw with other clients, they have quite a "selling" mentality. Selection is pretty good, there was a few recent releases that I didn’t expect to find in Lévis. Like in other Le Monde des Bières stores, prices aren’t outrageous but they are on the higher end of what you can find in the area. Overall it’s a pretty nice beer store with a good selection, prices are a bit high and the staff is knowledgeable but annoying.“

“Visited on a saturday afternoon. Rather large modern place in a commercial area and only 5 minutes away from highway 20. It’s clean, there’s a few large tv screens with sports, music isn’t too loud and the interior is comfortable. There’s also a patio section but on one side there’s a parking and on the other it’s a busy road. Service was friendly but not really knowledgeable about beer. Selection isn’t bad in terms of quantity with 12 of their own beers and a few guests beers but quality is mediocre, at least when it come to their own beers. I tried 8 beers and all were drain pour quality... not just bland or boring, many were off. There’s food, but I didn’t try. Price were ok, 4 x 5 oz tasters was 11$. I visited to give a chance since it’s on my way home when I come from Québec city but I won’t visit again unless I hear there’s a huge quality improvement with their beers.“

“Visited the place late after midnight on a Saturday nite cause sleeping at the hotel just across the street. Place is modern with ample parking beside. Just in front there’s Le monde des Bières a bottle store, they are know to have higher price than elsewhere be aware. Back to the brewery. Didn’t had any food but the place smelled great. They’re was a pretty good live act playing some covers which added to the ambiance. Service was ok didn’t get to chance to speak much but didn’t needed help or recommendation either. The beers didn’t please me that much they were pretty generic and I wouldn’t drive their on purpose. The stout La Tenebre was pretty bad and La Route des Navigateurs their India Brown was the best one I had there.“

“Le Fridge is a beer and coffee shop. They offer a wide selection of the most renown brewers in the province. The staff is friendly, professionnal and knows what they’re talking about. They have free tastings almost everyday ! Ciders from 6 orchards also available.“

“Visited on a Monday around 6:30 p.m. The place was empty except for a client in the "Café" section. Place was clean and the beers are well displayed. There is not much fridge space (which is kind of funny considering the the name of the store. The clerk was extremely polite, not harassing despite I was the only beer client there and he seems to knew enough about beers and the beer scene for the job. Selection is pretty interesting with most of the good regular stuff available in the province and a few more limited stuff (like Microbrasserie des Beaux Prés). Price in general were good, but a few things were overpriced by 1 or 2$. Overall, a pretty good beer store and the Café part add a nice touch. I will come back if I’m in the area.“

“Ambiance wasn’t the best, but I was alone in the bar, so I guess I have only myselft to blame for that. Still, music was decent and there was a soccer game on TV. Service was nice under the circumstances. Selection was OK at best, with average BAM brews and not much interesting stuff on guest list. Hard to rate the value, as I did not get to drink nor eat alot, but prices seemed fair. Overall: Nice, quiet place. Clean. Beer selection was somewhat boring.“

“Easily accessible location by the Levis ferry terminal. There is a small side patio that looks back over the Saint-Laurent river and the old town of Quebec City. The beers are English style and not too shabby, but not great. There is a tasting paddle available. Food is basic snacks like chips and nachos. Service was pretty good considering there was one waitress tending to everyone. There is a popular bike and skate path running along the pub, so it makes a great pit-stop for cyclists to get refreshments. It was funny to watch everyone arrive trying to score a seat on the patio (it was busy) to catch what little sunshine was hitting the deck. I can’t blame them, the winter must be brutal for the Québécois.“

“Visited Aug-2011. The place was playing mellow funk music, has huge ceilings, and you can see the brewing equipment. We ate a pretzel, a meat pizza, and tried 10 of their brews (2 samplers) -- all fairly decent. Smokey patio was annoying but inside was pretty fun overall.“

“For supper on a wednesday night. Obviously, it wasn’t very crowded but not empty either. Service was courteous but not necessarily knowledgeable. Beautiful place, very modern. I had the fish and chips which wasn’t slightly with their wit, both were a little above average. A little pricy for what it is and the few guest beers weren’t well chosen. Decent place.“

“Nice selection of quebec beers. Close to the trans-canada so one can pop in and pop out on their way to the maritimes. They open early (buying beer before 9 am is great!). However their bottles are aged. i took a bunch home and found out that most of the beers were not well preserved and were quite old. Disappointing. Check the bottle dates but other than that I like this place. “

“They recently moved next door, I preferred the ambiance of the old place, it was some kind of a pirate’s bar. Now it just looks...new. But whatever great beer, great people, great music (sometimes too loud though). They always have 5 to 10 beers, a lot of different styles, everyone can find something they like.“

“Le choix est intéressant, la plupart des microbrasseries québécoises y étant représentées. Le service est typique d’un épicerie, absent. Ça ne vaut probablement pas un détour seulement pour la bière, mais les produits du terroirs et les produits de la boucherie sont plus qu’intéressant.“

“Very first brewpub I went to in my life, thus it still holds a special place in my heart. It’s located right next to the ferry, across the river from Quebec City, thus you get a picture perfect view of the city when looking out the window or from the "terrasse" on the parking lot in the back. Frontenac Castle and all. Great sight in the summer. They have quite an acceptable selection, depending on the season, Fall definitely being the best time to stop by Le Corsaire. Their beer in general is quite tasty, I have a soft spot for their darker ales (stout, porter, brown ale to name a few). Not quite the place to go to for quality food, as most of it is just frozen products heated. Biggest problem of the brewpub: the volume of music inside when one goes at night. Barman needs to learn that most people come to brewpubs to enjoy a few glasses and have a chat with their friends, not get deafened until they practically beg to be kicked out.“

“August 2011. Stopped in Levis overnight and hit this shop and Corsaire on the way. The selection is a pretty good assortment of Quebec micros ranging from the excellent (Charlevoix) to the less good. Lots of singles and six packs. Worth a stop if you are in town.“

“2011-08-08. Looks like a corporate building from the street. Spacious bar area is pretty nice, airy high ceilings with pub like decor. Menu is limited but tasty. Pretzel is massive, pizzas surprisingly good. Server is very friendy and helpful, and her English is great despite her protests. Patio has great views of Quebec City but people were smoking so we opted to stay inside. Nice little spot.“

“Visited on a Monday evening. Very pretty brewpub located in an old government building, right by the St-Lawrence river with a view on Quebec City on the other side. The pub itself is spacious with good seating. They have ten tap lines (9 beers and one cider) as well as 2 casks (handpump). We had good service, even though they were understaffed for the amount of people there. The food is quite basic (no kitchen) but good and affordable. Decent value overall, not exactly cheap but in the right range. A pleasurable experience.“

“Hit this place almost by accident. What a sleeper. Had tonnes of Quebec micros including DDC. La Barberie, Freres Houblon, Trois Mousquetieres, and Unibroe etc. Were comfortable helping me in english, due to limited french speaking ability on my part. Six packs and singles, with a large cooler.“

“The decor of this place is great and it is very spacius, The locoation is the negetive part for me. As for the beer selection it is good with a nice variety. The food was good and tasty, it was the presentation that was not that great. The staff was very friendly, would I go again , yes.“

“Visited for the first time September 27, 2009 at noon. It opened at noon, but their hours are not indicated, it would help! Very large, lots of tables and well lit, a nice place. The best part is next to the Quebec City-Lévis ferry. There were eight beers on tap, I do not know what format was available, or even if there were tastings formats, although I gave up tasters at brewpubs. The two that I hade were o.k., food looks pre made but nice.“

“Still in it’s first year so there is still hope. The ferry was nice across the river from Quebec City. Big open place. The food seems all premade that can be heated. Small thin crust pizzas, sandwiches and Pogos. First restaurant that I can recall a corn dog on the menu. Someone ordered one and did not get mustard. The beers are hopefully still a work in progress.“

“Visited fall 2008, a few months after its opening. A large pub that can probably sit over 100 people. High-ceilings and a bit on the modern side. Staff and owners are pretty young and the place is not your uncle dirty tavern so I expect this place will probably draw a younger crowd. No meals, only snacks, when I was there but I was told it was in the plans. No patio, unfortunate since you can see the Chateau Champlain from the back of the building. 7 beers on the menu when I was there including one cask. All beers were clean with no problems but most were a bit bland. Not a bad start at all, just as good if not better than the early days of some of my now favourite brewpubs. Looking forward to sampling them again. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TOURISTS: There is a traverse that runs all year round, leaves from the old-Quebec port every 20 or 30 minutes and will drop you on the other side of the river just a few blocks away from Le Corsaire. Cheap too.“

“High-ceilings brewpub with a top view on the Old Quebec. Just out of the ferry station. Apt use of glasses and mirrors make the whole place seem very large. Rather young crowd, apparently mostly students on a saturday evening. They had 10 beers on tap during our visit and all were clean while a couple were original and most interesting. Quebec has never been too lucky with the quality of its neighborhoods brewpubs, but this newcomer already seems to be the star of the lot.“

“I really liked this local. Its in a former post office building, right next to the ferry building. The place has been renovated with taste and offer a terrasse with a view on the Chateau Frontenac. Service was attentive. The menu is small but hits the spot, with pizzas, fougasse, sandwich, nachos (very good), cheese and paté platters. Plenty of other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The pub has now 9 taps and 2 casks (1 is still in standby). Overall, one of the better place in the old capital.“

“This brand new brewpub is large and shiny, aiming for an inviting equilibrium of the classy and the casual. Apart from 6 or so taps at any given moment, they might have up to 2 casks available. The brewer is passionate about English real ale, so you can expect some nice sessionable pints to be served from these hand pumps. One of the other owners is a coffee nut and torrefies his own beans. This brewpub is going to be a fun detour from Quebec City.“
