UPDATED: MAR 19, 2024 Bottle drunk with Max and Bob. Medium brown amber, small head, hints of sugar in the clean sour nose. Moderate to high complexity, big lemony acidity, quite dry with slim body. This is a real full on fancy sour bomb!

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2023 Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy amber, very thin off-white head. Aroma: Tart, subtle funk and wood. Taste: Moderate tart, fruity (unripe) grape, lemon and green apple. Some vinegar. Light to moderate sweetness, oak wood notes, subtle funk notes, hints of caramel / candy sugar. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2023 Caramel brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour packed with tangy sharp notes. Barrel is noticeable. Well rounded.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2023 Trühe orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Säuerlich fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich säuerlich fruchtig mit Beerenfrüchten und Äpfel, leicht holzig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlere Säuerlichkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Taste is sourish, woody, caramel, some berry hints, with funk and citric rind. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sour finish. NIcely drinkable.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2023 Bottle at SHIG place tasting, big thanks to the Wingmane, 16/04/23. Moderately hazed orange with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is grandads shed, lemon rind, funk, hedgerow, grains, dry rot. Taste comprises pissy lemon rind, funk blanket, barnyard, dry rot, herb, straw, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with balanced acidity. Solid Faro.

Aroma is sour grape, vinous funk grape brown sugars, dungy funk . Vinegar. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dried fruits tart apple, bruised apple, brown sugars. Grass. Palate is semi sweet tart, tangy, highish carbonation sour grape funk. Palate is semi sweet, tangy sour.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2023 Bottle shared thanks to Wingmane, a bloody Faro tick: Poured a caramel orange with a bubble head. Aroma is dusty, funky, berries, acidic, musty, woodsy. Taste is sour tart, fruity, berries, oaky, woods, mild acidic.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2023 - as 3 Fonteinen Strenge Winter A 750ml corked and caged bottle, blend°53, season 19/20, bottled on 27th February 2020. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass. It was a lightly hazy copper amber orange colour with a very thin white head that disappeared almost immediately, while leaving only sparse to no lacing. Aromas tart, prunes, green apple, lemon zest, caramel, wood. Tastes as you’d expect from the aroma, lightly sour, tart, prunes, green apple, caramel, lemon zest, wood. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, although not lambic nor faro, it wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be, but it’s got interesting aromas and flavours.

Caramelish, some sugar, toffee, fruity notes, sweetish, low to moderate sourness, low carbonation. (season 1920) Blend No. 53 Hazy orange with medium white head. Fruity, some sugar notes, funk, caramel, musty. nice pleasant sourness works great with moderate sweetness. 8/4/8/4/17
