pindolaire (632) - SPAIN - MAR 27, 2024
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2024 Servida en jarra, color negro rojizo, espuma beige bien conservada. Aroma suave a malta tostada y caramelo. En boca cuerpo medio, textura ligeramente oleosa, notas de malta tostada, pan negro, caramelo y cierto toque ahumado. Definitivamente una schwarzbier francamente agradable, muy rica.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2024 Looks good in the glass. Light body as expected from a lager. Roasted malt and a touch of dried fruit (cake). Dry finish. Started better than it finished.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2023 Nov 2023. Small dark bottle, filtered but fizzy. Hmmm. I'm not finding quite what I experienced back in 2003, but this is better than my experience in Kentish Town in 2012. A very drinkable beer with slightly ashy and fruity malt flavours. Yeah. This is nice. I'd drink this again. [3.2] Jan, 2012 Bottle at Tapping the Admiral, Kentish Town. Fruity, dark beer - served very cold, but some flavour comes through. I didn’t get anything like the rich flavours I experienced back in 2003 - most likely because the beer was too cold. [2.8] July, 2003 Bottle. This rich and tasty black lager has coffee and chocolate and vanilla with a touch of red berry with a cherry skin and tree bark finish. The sweet yeasty nose is interesting - a blend of Belgian Blonde and white chocolate. A complex, rewarding yet refreshing and easy to drink ruby diamond. [4.1]

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2023 [March 2022] Lovely looking schwarzbier, pours a deep dark brown, near black with a frothy/creamy beige head and a lush roasted malt, chocolate and fruit aroma. Malty and fruity, cake-like, with a touch of bitterness

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2023 A dark beer with medium carbonation. PIts initial roastiness is followed by an aroma of ground coffee and chocolate

330 ml bottle. Pours near opaque with a thin off white head. Aromas are dark fruit (plum perhaps), licorice, and a bit of cocoa. Tastes are some chocolate, licorice, and a bit of chalk. Medium body, assertive carbonation, medium finish. Pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
