DijkBier (3393) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2021
UPDATED: APR 16, 2021 Over date bottle (bb. Dec'19), pouring opaque deep dark-brown to black, with a creamy brown head; good retention. Aroma of roast malts, dark chocolate, some coffee. Taste same, also bit nutty, even soft ashy; great development, starting medium sweet and developing towards a lasting dark bitter. Full body, creamy feel. Very nice stout indeed.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2020 6/1/2020. Bottle from Cobbetts, Dorking. As Buxton Extra Stout. Pours dark brown almost black in colour, with a thick tan coloured head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, black treacle, nut and dried fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Very good.

sjogro (9245) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 14, 2019
UPDATED: APR 14, 2019 Tap at Murphy’s. Thick black with rich tan head. Sweet chocolatey roasted malts. Coffee, oyster shells, hoppy stout, coffee syrup, licorice. Dense thick and rich. I hate this kind of beer. Just kidding. Big sweet and bitter, a grain of salt. Full body and soft carbonation. Njumnjum.

cage.79 (455) - Worcestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2019 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Labelled as Buxton Extra Stout. Pours pitch black with brown head that laced around glass. Classic export stout profile; burnt toast, leather, black coffee, really bitter but not harsh. Long lingering aftertaste that sweetens in the end. Seriously good beer. Similar to (and up there with) Kernel’s take on this style and Redchurch ‘Old Ford Export Stout’ which is a high compliment! Lovely 😊

Beer5000 (10654) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2018 Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small tan head. Nice, strong aroma of dark malt, chocolate, coffee and smooth roast. Flavor is a bit sweet, dark, smooth roasted malt, balancing bitterness, chocolate and a little touch of soy in a nice way. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste in the same direction. Quite delicious.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2018 Rich, bitter and robust with lots of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate.
