Grumbo (19923) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2022
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2022 25/6/2022. Bottle courtesy of ITFCDan, shared at the Gorzow GP beer share. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of light tropical fruits, caramel, malt, citrus, grass, light rubbery/piney notes. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light to moderate body, slightly watery, average carbonation. Not bad.

Pingaware (214) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2021 33 cl bottle (BBD 2021-02-07), bought from Marks & Spencers, drunk at home 2021-02-20. Appearance is a very slightly hazy pale gold with a thin, irregularly-formed white head that dissipates very quickly. Fair amount of visible carbonation though. Fine. Colour's okay, carb is good, want more head. Aroma isn't bad. Quite a lot of citrus - lemon and orange I'd say. Some sherbert as well and maybe a grassy hint? Quite simple, but nice. Taste is pretty much along the lines of the nose, if slightly less sweet. More of the lemon and less of the orange, although I'd say both are still there. Sherbet reduced to a hint, then there's a reasonable pithy bitter hit at the end. Not getting much malt - if any - but there's also perhaps a touch of pine. Palate is fine. Medium bodied with a touch of in-mouth carbonation. Maybe a touch oily towards the front, but becomes softer and a little cleaner towards the moderate length finish. Decent body for the ABV. Overall, this is a solid if unremarkable session IPA. Nice simple aroma and taste, little bland to look at, want it a touch juicier on the palate. Good fridge filler.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2019 Bottle from Daventry Waitrose. Misty pale straw with a narrow cap. Sharp lime, kumquat, slight farmyard and lambic wheat nose. Mellow lactic sharpness and lime, botanicals, wheat, crackers and zest. Tastes a bit like lime barley squash. Good.

Mortlach (4765) - Rome, ITALY - FEB 2, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2019 Handpump @Mad for Beer (Rome). Gialla mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca media, molto persistente. Al naso note di pesca, agrumi, mango, passionfruit. In bocca è molto fresca, fruttata, bilanciata, con amaro finale discreto e buona secchezza. Corpo leggero, carbonazione soft. Bella birra.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2019 Bottle as gift. Touch of haze to the gold with a barely there white head. Delicious peach n apricot with a slight touch of barley sugar. Fresh grassy and pine hop. Light body with moderate fizz is easy drinking stuff. Fantastically crisp and refreshing. This is the sort of stuff made for warm, lazy days. Lovely.
