COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Ostro przegazowane, z nieco zalegającą goryczką. Z drugiej strony - fajna paloność i wysoka pijalność. Takie o.

A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry roasted finish.

So, I’m once again sitting in front of the lit fire place in our mountain cabin, it’s dark outside, the kids are asleep (including my youngest, Ravn) and I’ve opened the third book in the Raven Rings series and a bottle of Dark Raven. So much for blind tasting. It looks close to black in the glass, a beautiful 3 mm of beer, crowned by 13 cm of tan foam. Slightly over-carbonated in other words. Strong aroma of dark roasted malt, burnt toast, dark caramel, chocolate and burnt sugar, and hints of dark dried fruits. Strong flavour that follows the aroma. Light sweet taste with a light to moderate bitter taste. Light-bodied, a bit watery texture with a dry finish, and the over-carbonation doesn’t help much on the mouthfeel. Nevertheless, Dark Raven is a nice beer (but I think I like The Raven Rings #3 better).
[33 cl bottle, from Meny Grønland, Oslo]

Taste is bready malt, roasted, coffee, dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, some brown sugar and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

0,33 l flaske. Svart kropp med høyt lysebrunt skum. Vanilje og røstede noter i nesa. Myk og fyldig i munnen. Søt og røstet smak med innslag av vanilje og eik. God ettersmak.

ShivanDragon (6880) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 25, 2016
lichte gusher tijdens het openen, schenkt in met enorm veel koolzuur, zwart met volle bruine kraag. aroma van koffie, chocolade, mout, geroosterd, licht zuur, niets mis mee tot zo ver. smaken van chocolade, melkchocolade, geroosterde mout, cacao, vanille, gebrand, alcohol, scherpe peper, poederachtig, neigt iets naar een droge poederachtige cacao porter, iets dun van textuur, helaas teveel mondvullende co2, verder redelijke body, smaakvol voor zo’n low alcohol stout, prima...

Swaroga (2222) - Warszawa, POLAND - JAN 13, 2016
Tasted couple of months ago. I remember lots of carbonation and big head. Also watery mouthfeel. The beer didn’t strike me as intense or delicious at all. Something I will not buy again.
