UPDATED: AUG 22, 2023 Bottled. Ambery brown hazy colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, some Chardonnay, wood and mild grapes and floral tones. Flavour is grapes, some Chardonnay, wood, mild alcohol sweetness with some spices and a bit herbs.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 (bombe vineuse (red, blanc), pour zytho-oenologues, une merveille d’enfûtage, acide, aigre, alléluia-vinesque) (un peu moins bien foutue que la 'Big worster', qui en est l'apogée, mais je ne pouvais pas mettre seulement 9,5/10 à ce régal difficilement approchable) (je ne comprends pas les avis : tous ces gens-là savent-ils ce qu'est le vin ? et toute la beauté de la bière, qui peut mixer à elle seule les deux mondes ?)

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2019 Bottle shared in beautiful Magic Beer Room garden at Croatian Homebrew Competition. Fresh water aroma, vinegar, blueberries, nuts, hazelnuts, barrel and wine. Hazy deep amber color with small sized tan head. Caramel and sour taste with barrel notes, wine, bit of alcohol, dry, chocolate finish. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 37,5cl bottle split with SimonBlok. Pours a hazy dark brown colour with a small off white head which recedes to a thin layer on top. Aroma of candy sugar, slight Brett-ish, red grapes, milk chocolate, raisins, slight grassy, white wine, slight oak, wet wood. Taste is medium sweet, moderate bitter with a soft dry and slight sour finish. Notes dark malt, candy sugar, wine, slight Brett-ish, slight chocolate, grapes, slight raisins, slight plumes. Texture is creamy, full bodied with moderate carbonation

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 37,5 cl bottle, courtesy of Gyhallmanti. Appearance: hazy brown with medium sized cream white head. Aroma: apple, oak, vanilla, brown sugar/molasse, some brett. Taste: high sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of oak, apple, molasse/caramel, bretty, raisins, some white wine and vanilla. Palate: medium bodied, oily to sticky texture and soft carbonation. Overall: nice! Love the barrel on this one, eventhough there is apple in the aroma and taste.

I saved this bottle it until Kansai Beer Lovers hit 1000 followers: Mikkeller Recipe 1000 An ale aged in Chardonnay barrels which had me expecting a much paler color hence the champagne glass. Treacle/molasses, caramel and figs. Full bodied but it finishes semi-dry. The flavor starts sweet matching the aroma with stone fruit then some light acidic sherry like notes with mild chocolate malt character in the finish. I don’t really get much Barrel or Chardonnay elements but it is a fun beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 375 ml, at Craft Room. Courtesy of Mladen. Shared with him and Greg Koch. Pours brown with small white head. Caramel, malty, some brown sugar, dark fruit, dried fruit, sweet, medium sourness, some wood, bit vinous. Medium bodied. Very nice.

Keg at salthorse. Pours deep brown, nose is grape, soy sauce, malty toffee, raisins, taste is light funk, raisins, funky, juicy, tasty.

(bottle 2013 ) Aroma: sourness, wine and apples Taste: quite sour, flavour of apples, caramel, wine-ish notes. Palate: medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Probably infected but still interesting.
