UPDATED: FEB 3, 2023 Draught. Deep brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is dry fruits, roasted malts and some slight honey notes. Flavour is honey, sweet malts, some nectar and mild roasted notes. Nicely bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2021 Sample, thanks fonefan! Dark brown, minimal head. Aroma of licorice, calvados and honey. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Seriously peppery with sake and calvados, some salmiak and treacle. Intense warming finish. A welcome break with a more alcoholic, dryish 14% dark beer - was kind of expecting the usual syrupy mess you get these days.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2019 33 cl bottle poured into a Snifter. Near black with no head. Sweet aroma with liqourice, booze, over ripe fruits and toasted bread. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied, no carbonation, feels rather thin for a 14 % beer. Sweet finish with over ripe fruits and dark malts. A bit basic, yet flavourfull, disappointing palate.

Rating #1219, grønbrun uden skum. Dufter af mjød med kaffe. Ret sprittet med lidt honning. Sprit, sprit og atter sprit. Let bitter og meget alkoholisk eftersmag. Blød og ret cremet

Køge Øldag. Black with a tiny, off-white head. Aroma of licorice and dried fruit. Sweet roasted flavour with molasses and caramel.

Mörkbrun öl med ett ljusbrunt skum. Doft av malt, rostade toner, honungssötma och viss blommighet. I smaken tillkommer lite choklad och alkoholsötma. Lite för söt och obalanserad.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish dark brown with no head whatsoever - completely flat. Sweet boozy aroma, lots of overripe dark fruits. Body is only medium, more overripe fruits and toffee than roast, vague honey notes with a very boozy finish. If you think of it as a desert wine or an old style British Barley Wine, then you’re expetations is more in sync with what this beer delivers. Not sure I understand the hate. 060417

Bottle @ home w senior. Appearance: clear black with low beige creamy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, coffee, alcohol, prunes, dark berries and honey. palette: strong roasted malty and light fruity aroma, medium carbonation, full body, notble sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, long duration and an oily texture. Overall: sweet, fruity and tasteful imp porter.

Tap at Taphouse. Aroma is huge of honey and sweet malts. The alcohol bites the tongue, almost like mead does, but not really in a good way. This is way too sweet and the alcohol dominates everything. Ghost brewing does much better than this normally

30-DEC-2016, bottle @home, from Boxbeers. Dark, dark Brown - almost Black - no head. Honey, molasses. Cloying, sticky sweet, alcoholic, no carbonation. Full body. Too much. Is this sick or just bad brewing?
