UPDATED: OCT 1, 2022 It pours yellow with some clouding. It has a white head with excellent head retention. It has doughy aromas with bananas. There is very light spice. There are banana flavors up front with spice. There are low levels of doughy wheat in the background. There is a tad bit of sweetness to it. It has a creamy texture with a medium body. Overall, the banana is stronger than the spicing as far as the balance goes. The sweetness is a bit interesting in the flavor.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2022 Top 50? 12 oz. tall skinny can from Total Wine. Pours a semi-clear deep gold color with a tight khaki head and great retention. Good lacing. Almost no aroma. Maybe a little yeast? The taste is hard to define too. The wheat is very light, with a light yeasty finish. Smooth and somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Medium-light body. Overall, well made, but nothing exciting.

MNAle (694) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 30, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2021 Poured from Sixpoint's tall, skinny 12 ounce can into a weizen glass. I did a fairly vigorous pour, since 12 ounces won't come close to filling this glass. Crystal clear golden amber, nicely carbonated with tiny bubbles rising to the tall, white, thick head with excellent retention. The smell is bubblegum front and center along with a peppery spice. The taste is a bit odd; not necessarily in a bad way, just hard to describe. Bubblegum that has started to lose its flavor? That doesn't quite get it. Maybe a little indistinct fruit. A little of the spice as well. Semi-sweet. No bitterness. No crispness, which I might have expected from a beer named 'summer.' It is easy drinking and goes down quickly. Not much aftertaste beyond the semi-sweet lingering bubblegum. The beer has a decent body, not thin. Overall, I am disappointed. Thoroughly mediocre. Can stamped with a best by date of 9/24/21. If Sixpoint uses a 6 month BB time, that makes this beer 3 months old. It shouldn't be suffering too much from age. Anyway, not impressed. Calculated rating is riding on the look and aroma. Otherwise...

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2020 This is a backlog rating from 2012 from a can shared by Tmoney99, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are pale wheat malts, citrus, grass, sourdough.

Hazy to cloudy amber color with a tallish, wispy off-white head. Initial scent give the impression of bleu cheese. Wheat, orange zest, and over-ripe bananas work their way into the mix. Full fell for a hefe. Sweet start that is matched by a mild acidity mid quaff. Some banana and light spice also squeeze in. Not much depth, but certainly not a Kristall. Hits somewhere between a decent hefe and an American wheat. 3/12

Rated based on notes taken 1 Jun 2013 -- A really enjoyable brew. Mouthfeel is a little creamy, malts and hops make a delicious sipper or chugger; your preference.
