COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One whole block of chocolate worth of Whittaker’s cacao nibs infused into every can. Unbelievably rich, dark and creamy, brewed with chocolate malts, lactose and infused with vanilla and freshly batch roasted cocoa beans. Tiny bubbles of nitrogen make it smoother and even more delicious. If it was any more chocolatey we’d have to put it in a wrapper.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2021 330ml can. Pours just black with that thin and fading tan nitro head. Heads dies fast but you get the zillions of tiny bubbles. Aroma is magnificent chocolate; it seems to smell stronger than a block of the stuff. Thankfully this is NOT like drinking chocolate, there is a smooth malt base & the lactose & sweetness is dialled well back from many of the imperial pastry stouts. The body is light / medium which fits the ABV and the heavy chocolate flavours are well done. If you don't like milk chocolate (and I do not) don't be put off; this tastes much more like a good dark chocolate has been used. Hard to find any flaws is this beer.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2019 Chocolate... beer.... enough said. Words cannot describe how perfect this beer in. Fell in love with it in NZ and stocked up when it came to Aus. SO GOOD!

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2019 Note: I did Tim Tam slams with this beer and it was INCREDIBLE. Aroma is of malty dark chocolate, notably missing the fake chocolate notes you often get in chocolate beers. Dark brown with a ruby hue. Palate is a little thin, but the result is like a super drinkable chocolate hug. Not mind blowing, but would buy again (and again).

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2019 A 330ml can with a best before date of 3rd May 2019. Poured into a Mikkeller pint glass as per the instructions for a ‘perfect nitro pour’. It was a clear dark brown colour with a slight amber hue, and an almost two finger light tanned head that had excellent retention and left some nice lacing. Aromas strong, rich, chocolate, cocoa beans with a touch of vanilla and nuttiness. Tastes of bittersweet chocolate, milk chocolate, just a lot of chocolate with hints of cream and vanilla. Creamy, smooth, medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, a good and wonderful chocolate drink. It may not be complex, but the rich chocolate in the aroma and taste made it easy to drink. If the vanilla was even stronger, I think this would have been even better.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2018 0,33L can bought at HK Brewcraft. Appearance: Pours a very dark brown colour. Very thick, tight and creamy beige head, contributed by the cascade nitrogen bubbles which last very long, with fair bit of lacing. Aroma: Full of milky chocolate, cocoa beans, and vanilla. Some caramel, coffee and roasted dark malt. Bit of mild nutty and berry aroma, too Taste: Very chocolatey, with some dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla sweetness and milkiness. Towards bitter at the end, taste more like cocoa beans and dark coffee, but bitterness remains low. Palate: Thick creamy and smooth texture, thanks to the nitro. Medium body with mild carbonation. Aftertaste is still very chocolatey, with some cocoa beans, and vanilla. Overall: This is definitely milky chocolate in its liquid form. Balanced, with that rich and unique texture which only nitro can provide and cannot be replaced. Would definitely get it again, and recommend it to all chocolate lovers!

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2019 Pours translucent, very dark brown going to back, beautiful nitro pour with a thick, lasting forever, beige head with gorgeous lacing. Aroma is pure chocolate, with notes of toasted dark malts. Tastes sweet, toast, very strong milk chocolate, like a block of chocolate melted in the glass, lactose with notes of vanilla. Very smooth as expected, easy to drink, with lingering chocolate in the after taste. For chocolate lovers uniquely, some may find it too rich, I love it!

Can, Royal Albert Hotel, Surry Hills. Pours a jet black with a tan head. Aroma: hazelnut, milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, milk, mild pecan notes. Taste: hazelnut, vanilla, cacao, milk chocolate, cream, mild pecan and mild peanut flavours. Full bodied. Mild carbonation. Moderate sweetness with a nutty finish. This was exceptional. Complex yet well balanced. Sweet yet easy to drink. Will happily drink this again and again and again!

It's got a lot of dark chocolate aroma and taste about it, but it isn't full enough in the glass to carry that over or bring it forward, and harshly this could be like drinking watery iced chocolate. Thankfully it's rather nicer than that.

Sorry I was wanting to try this But it said it had to cold, I followed the instructions, and I now have a dry mouth. And a drink that is non drinkable
