UPDATED: NOV 28, 2021 Half-pint, cask at Devonshire Arms. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, scattered lacing, patchy off-white head. Promising aromas of grainy chocolate, well roasted. Fine blended taste of chocolate, dark fruit, and dark fruits. Mid-sweet chocolate malts to the finish, nicely roasted. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Cambridge 10.11.2021).

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2021 Delt med Rune. Svart. Nesten ikke skum. Lakrisaroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken mandler, fersken & lakris. Behagelig tørr avslutning.

Cask @ Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Medium head with medium duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Cask @ Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and licorice. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily and soft. 151018

Cask at the 22nd Cambridge Winter Ale Festival. Pours deep black with a very small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, blackberry, malt, chocolate, liquorice and a hint of smoke. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at the maypole Cambridge. A dark black brown coloured pour with a loose dirty tan head. Aroma is nutty roast, waxy, jammy fruit and liquorice. Flavour is composed of waxy, little paraffin, liquorice black malts, layered dark malts, dried fruit cake. Little boozy. Palate is medium full, lowish carbonation,. Little lingering dark bark, bitter roast.

Cask at graf 2017. Pours black, nose is chocolate, liquorice, cola, taste is sweet, blawckberry, roasted , toffee.

Half @ GRAF. Dark reddish brown with a very small off white head. Dark fruit aroma, flavour is coffee, berries

Cask at the Pembury. It pours a deep dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasty and slightly sweet and tangy. Taste is also medium sweet with strong licorice and some roasted wood and caramel notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, decent one
