ClarkVV (13489) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 24, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2023 750mL growler filled 2/7/23 drunk 2/24/23. Clear, dark. Large, beige head, moderate-to-strong retention. Sweet raisins, cinnamon, oak and cookies with dollops of baking chocolate and honey. Plentiful minerality, not excessively specialty-malted, with seemingly good attenuation but also equal malt richness. Soft, delicate, herbal hops. Clean. Wow the hop plus specialty malt and wood really give it a spicy, almost christmasy feel. Cinnamon, moderately-sweet baker's chocolate and soft oak and lightly burnt cookie in the background. Rich base malts with high attenuation and excellent body. A clean, mineralesque, highly drinkable, malty treat.
